Fantastic movie. No CGI or other horseshit trickery. Just plain old-fashioned practical application stunts by real people. I miss the days before CGI when everything you saw being performed on screen was done by a real person with REAL danger.

fun fact I live close to this town where this seen was filmed. the town is "Des Allemands". the name is translated to "the Germans" in French. take a tour there during a Louisiana summer. this town shows all the great natural features of Louisiana.

Boat jump was filmed in Phoenix, LA, the rest of the scenes filmed around Irish Bayou and Bayou Liberty in Slidell.

That's a swamp load of Black Russians driving boats to beat the band down here. Don't believe I've laughed as hard at a Bond movie harder than I did this, or the boat chase in particular. A black Billy Bob, boats driving on and jumping over land and ending up in the pool. The groom's face when the bride breaks down after their cake is destroyed is hilarious, too. No replacing the boat chase, or 'Billy Bob's' demise. Are you sure that was your brother in law JW? Even better in German.

What does "Bootverfolgungsjagd" exactly translate to? Well, I'll tell you. It means "James Bond being chased in boats by a bunch of black guys with cop cars crashing everywhere, and a boat slaming into a wedding cake, and then a big explosion at the end."
