I think the videos the state ended with today are their strongest argument against her defense. George seemed genuinely afraid of her in some of them and she seemed like she was egging him on, trying to get him to hit her, where she did not appear afraid of him in anyway. I mean, there's a video where she's literally coaching him on what to say to her out of a DV charge. Those videos made me think that maybe he was the one suffering from BSS and that any violence he engaged in was because of that (which the state seems to have been implying).
@MrMancreatedgod23 минут бұрын
Idk. To me the videos only showed there is a long and documented history of dv between the two. If I didn't know better I would've thought it was part of the defense
@talia_neah3 минут бұрын
@MrMancreatedgod What? It is proof she wasn't in fear of him. It was proof that she pushed him into reacting. The defenses whole argument is that Sarah is horrified of Jorge hurting her but she was more than happy to berate him daily? Wake him up and shit talk him?

What we know about that night is she videotaped herself mocking a trapped and suffering man who died. That is what should be believed.

@felixchu765614 минут бұрын
3 points i thought after watching the videos. 1. For me its clear who the person in charge was. SB. She treated him like a kid. 2. I became inclined to believe that his death was either premeditated or she knew she could kill him at some point. Why would you get so much evidence? Unless you wanted to use it for something. 3. She calling the police was the same as some couples use "divorce" as a threat

Peter I was not swayed, No one deserves to die inside a suit case. Even drunk drivers are punished for drunk driving and injuring or killing people. If you can't handle the drink you should not drink and to act this way for two 40 yr. olds is devastating. I feel sorry for all involved but these were adults they had called the police numerous times. They were both a menace to society. They both should have joined AA before it got to this. They had to know they both had a problem with alchohol.

I actually liked that the expert didn't get bogged down, she focused on Sarah's actual testimony of the events and her medical records. It was very concise and simple, 'Sarah said X happened and X doesn't meet any requirements of battered spouse involvement', boom, easy peasy. Also her statement wasn't "Sarah wasn't in imminent danger" it was "As Sarah described it nothing in her testimony would flag/indicate a battered spouse response", aka there was no build up, there was no fear response, there was no altercation or argument. By her own admission what she did wasn't because of any battered spouse symptoms or triggers so it doesn't apply to the events as described.

She encouraged him to call his daughters while drinking. Is for one reason and one reason only. She wanted the daughters to know what was going on. Get people to not like him. She wants him to tell the brother how he pulled her down the stairs. I bet you she took what she did to him in that suitcase and turned that story to benefit her. When telling the cops. Narcissist
@TheTuffOnes28 минут бұрын
@1Life2Live007 It is my very firm belief that this was premeditated murder, that the suitcase was the transportation for the body, the phone calls were to "prove" that he was alive while in his presence, and the phone call to her ex-husband was because she was probably going to load up the suitcase with his dead body in it and have him drive her some place saying that she had an argument with Jorge at which time she would have disposed of Jorge's body. I 100% totally and completely believe this was premeditated right down to the suitcase being the tool to transport his dead body in. She was highly disappointed when the ex-husband hung up on her and, feeling defeated, probably didn't even sleep that night but spent trying to plan what she could possibly come up with. I believe that when she called her ex-husband that Jorge was already dead. I believe that she beat AND suffocated him to death. Remember, when he was begging to be let out because he couldn't breathe, he was not saying that his hands were hurting or broken. She did that to make him shut up. This was absolutely premeditated first degree murder. ABSOLUTELY

I ❤ KYN but have to admit I think he's wrong about the Psychiatrist's testimony today. She was being as honest as she possibly could be without showing prejudice in either direction. The only reason that she was giving off somebody language was because she was exasperated, as we ALL were, with Owens. I wanted to scream at Owens, "do you have a hearing deficiency or is your short-term memory shot as well?". He kept asking the same question expecting a different answer.

I don’t think I am going to get a answer but I do have a question why not get the testimony stricken instead of attempting to impeach her with inconsistent prior statements which is the angle the defense takes just seems like a risk we’re now if you don’t hit home on impeaching them your allowing fairly damming evidence to be introduced. Unless I have misunderstood what I have been watching the state wants to prove there was no prior action that day which could of given her a reason to require defending herself and that she was the aggressor and the defense wants to say she suffered from ptsd with battered wife syndrome being included in that diagnoses I feel like that part was almost overlooked here. Yet the expert clearly says that ptsd and bss is a included and accepted causation of a form of ptsd which she agrees Sarah had but not at that specific time is it normal to not have something like this struck I am not a lawyer I don’t know how common these things are

@charliebrown17965 минут бұрын
She only got this case two weeks ago, and she sees patients 7 days a week. Now you’re expecting her to have reviewed all the evidence, interviewed multiple people, prepared her testimony word for word etc while still having to manage a full case load? Would that not be neglectful and unprofessional towards her patients who presumably need her help urgently? She reviewed and spoke to who she needed to in order to draw her conclusion wrt BSS (which was the only material diagnosis since that’s her defence), and was honest when she didn’t have enough information to make additional diagnoses etc.

I am not happy judge allowed her in. Not the main stream of thinking about this case, I understand that.. But lost respect for prosecutors today. lead detective sitting in trial when she knew better also not cool. I felt Sarah's case was actually helped by the videos today as a survivor of domestic abuse.... I saw her more as a victim today after watching the videos. She might have lied during police interrogation, but I truly feel that she is still numb to her abuse and all the videos of Jorge actually supported Sarah IMO. The prosecutor's expert WAS NOT Credible IMO. @Peter.. why was she allowed to sit in the witness box while they debated her testimony. She was prepared for her own rebutall with Owens.. it felt so wrong

interesting the videos to me show she's the abuser she has the control she uses 911 to control jorge. she was never scared and she always had the upper hand, SB is a master manipulator, their relationship was toxic I believe they abused each other there was numerous statement said that jorge hurt Sarah so she wouldn't hurt him he said that on video and she didn't even deny it. Sarah said she wanted to get rid of him and she did it's premeditated imo she deserves long term sentence
