MEUNCH IS ALL SEC. HE USUALLY DON’T GIVE OSU OR BIG TEN MUCH PRAISE IF AT ALL. BUT TONIGHT HE COULDN’T SAY AS MUCH WITH OSU WINNING AND MCSHAY NOT PUTING OSU DOWN SAYING OSU WAS THE BETTER TEAM. MCCORD LEFT ON HIS OWN. COULDN’T TAKE THE HEAT OF THE MICHIGAN LOSS.

I think transferring is in carson becks best interest considering his injured arm and sub par season, i disagree that is in ewers best interest because typically it takes a couple years to fully adapt to your new surroundings. Jayden daniels, bowers nix, and Michael penix were in their second destination for 2 years before they became nfl qbs; cam Ward spent one at Washington st and one at Miami, looking good at both but other than him maybe mccord and eli holstein are the only others to really elevate in their new location year 1, I'm saying all this to really say first if carson Beck went pro last year he probably would of been drafted ahead of nix, so you could argue coming back is what hurt him and with ewers where is he gonna go that he will be in a better position to excel than at ut with sark and a great oline with pretty talented wr, maybe Ohio st. which would be funny and a little weird but having been there already and their wr talent but other than that I'm not sure he can go somewhere where his stock will rise, now he might get valuable experience but get that in the nfl with guaranteed contract as opposed to going to a random school with new surroundings and risk not fitting in and having a carson Beck type year or dj U type of year. I thinknits an unnecessary risk cause ut was the best chance he had to look good and he did enough to achieve his dream and get drafted, probably pretty high, possibly 1st round pick. Same for milroe but for different reasons, milroe should go because he's a mobile qb and the risk for injury is higher and we have seen athletic project qbs with questions get drafted and develop, Josh Allen, jalen hurts, lamar Jackson, even justin fields who i think starts somewhere next year, so go pro and start learning how to be an nfl qb imo

So long and rambling but a lot of false conclusions. 1) Tales of Beck's demise are completely premature. Any honestly impartial evaluation of this year's tape would lead to the conclusion that yes, he did regress in terms of decision making, but the biggest reasons were his supporting cast. I think he would've climbed back up boards as people looked deeper. 2) Texas' O-line definitely wasn't "elite." How much of their underwhelming performance one wants to chalk up to playing hurt and how much one wants to say they're actually not good vs NFL prospects is really the only question. 3) Ewers is Derek Carr. His numbers on throws over 20 yards have been atrocious the last 2 years. His numbers vs pressure are below average. I have him as a day3 pick with a ceiling of journeyman backup. 4) i don't disagree with your point about transfer QBs, but I'd also caution against the conclusion that any of those rookie QBs will have continued success in the NFL. The sophomore slump phenomenon of defenses adjusting once they have film on a QB is legit.

Ut's oline isn't elite, fine, how many schools have a better one? How many give ewers a cleaner/safer pocket which he needs? He's a classic pocket passer who doesn't rollout or move well in the pocket so he needs time and throwing lanes, good schemes that get guys open, guys who can get open. Doubt he finds that elsewhere is my whole point. The day 3 grade is pointless cause daniel jones, Dwayne Haskins, Kenny Pickett, sam Howell, etc. All got drafted with worse talent and tape, and Derek Carr had a good long career so don't say that like it's a negative, lol. The class is weak, now 26's is too cause I doubt nico, arch, Mensah, mateer, holstein, etc. go pro but you never know, if they do they wouldn't have the resume that ewers has rn, see my point. Like last years class was ridiculous, most classes don't have that. I like Dart but he completely imploded late in the year and of course the scheme that kiffin has hurts him, ewers has the talent and experience so he'll go no later than round 2, with the qb needy teams can see him going in the first, nix did with that horrible air yards stat. I don't see an obvious transfer location that creates an opportunity to change perception or improve so I say go pro.

It's hard to explain a point like this without a wordy message so I'm sorry, just like to explain why
@denniscarney5249

@BeastThatThang 1) if we assume that the poorest ran franchises -- CLE and the NYG -- take Ward and Sanders, them I'm not sure we can jump to the conclusion Ewers will be over-drafted simply because he's a QB. PIT was the only franchise to waste a 1st rounder in 21 and TEN waited to take Levis in the 2022 2nd. *Maybe* the Jets or Raiders, but one of those might jump on Milroe. 2) Prospect Evaluation is about normalizing grading, not just within 1 class, but throughout time. I'm telling you that Ewers is a slight upgrade over Rattler, who was taken in the 4th. If there HAD been someone willing to take Rattler in the 2nd, it wouldn't change the grade. 3) Your points about Danoel Jones, Derek Carr, and the like is relevant only to the draft advisory board, the player, and his agent. I'm not evaluating whether HE should turn pro, I'm evaluating where a well-run organization would take him. And those guys have jobs because of a lack of depth -- no one is hiring them because they want to, nor are those fan bases pleased with the product put forward.
