Hi Nelson, New to your channel, but really enjoying the puzzles and live gaming. I think intermediate is accurate for me. My variance, when I was playing more, though, was crazy. I'd go from brilliant games (self-assessed admittedly) to bonehead moves. Anyway, I've watched game 1. Picking up at the review (22:13 in the video), I had also chosen queen to G7 during the pause. However, I don't think the goal should necessarily be to get the queen to H2, for the following reason, if white follows the queen to G7 move with queen to B4, black can't go queen to G3 or it's over. If one stays focused on on having to get to G3, the defense against white gets messy. I would only move black queen to G3 if white moves his rook to G1. Otherwise black rook to H2 is the move.

In the first game, why not trade the knight to mess up their pawns? Even trade but you have them weaken their structure.

It's good for white ... he's castling kingside so you're giving him an open file and an extra pawn to control the center.

I feel like I could easily coach you to 2450 and it's got nothing to do with technical chess skill. You're clearly an excellent player, but have some major mental game leaks that could be fixed in an hour. --not a chess player but former high stakes poker player and coach.
