Recap of today, Wednesday Feb 7, 2024. Considering there really isnt really anything to watch as far as today, here is the latest: "Adam Montgomery has said he intends to plead guilty to two charges in the death of his five-year-old daughter Harmony. Montgomery, who did not appear in person during Wednesday’s proceedings in Manchester, New Hampshire, acknowledged that he had falsified evidence and abused a corpse in connection with Harmony’s December 2019 death. He has not pleaded guilty to a count of second-degree murder, and his trial on that charge is expected to continue as planned. Judge Amy Messer’s warning to jurors that “things don’t always go as planned” proved true after plans were changed to delay opening statements until after a jury view of key locations in the case. Shortly after jurors were sent on the tour, Montgomery’s attorneys and prosecutors returned to the courtroom to announce that he had conceded two of the charges he faced. Judge Messer asked Montgomery if he had spoken to his attorneys in detail about the legal move, and whether he was aware of what it entailed. “Do you wish for your [attorneys] to acknowledge your guilt on both of those charges?” Judge Messer asked. “Yes, I do,” Montgomery answered as he appeared via video conference. "Judge Messer said jurors will be notified of Montgomery’s guilty pleas once they return to court. The judge went on to admonish Montgomery for his refusal to show up in court after she had sent transportation to the facility where he is jailed. The judge warned Montgomery that if he agreed today to attend court in person on Thursday, he had to follow through with the commitment. The judge said that if Montgomery wanted to waive his presence, he had to inform the court the day before."

So, I understand that he has pled guilty to the 2 charges you mentioned and the trial is going forward on the 2nd Degree Murder charge, but what about the….. *2nd Degree Assault *Tampering with Witnesses and Informants charges? He was charged with 5 different counts, so what happens with those other 2? 🤔💭 This trial has started out so different from any other trial I’ve watched, not to mention the fact that the defendant just doesn’t have to show up for his trial if he doesn’t want to?!? I mean REALLY? It just seems like the defendant has too many choices and options, especially seeing as though he’s admitted guilt to two of the charges! 😤

Agreeing to testify against Adam she got a reduced sentence for whatever she is in jail for now. I think that is why Adam is going to try to make it seem that Kayla is the one that punched Harmony, not him. He just helped cover up the crime. The jury will now never find out about him buying Lime at Home Depot to make Harmony decompose faster because he pled guilty already to abuse of a corpse. He already had a hearing to have that Lime purchase tossed from the evidence. I believe that was rejected, so now he is going to try this route. A lawyer on TV news tonight said that if he manages to plead to the two he did, and he is not found guilty of the actual murder, he will not get life in prison. That just infuriates me to no end.

It is usually up to the judge and also sometimes it's a state regulation. I understand why they don't want them to take notes because a judge once explained it as they don't want someone taking notes and missing something important because they were busy writing. The part that is surprising to me is that they can't even have the transcripts when they are finished and ready to decide G or NG. I can't figure that one out.

I don’t think it really matters. Adam‘s gonna say he didn’t get a fair trial no matter how this thing goes. As far as I’m concerned, they both guilty. Kayla sat there while he beat and killed a little girl with two other children in the car neither of them got her help, she helped him cover this thing up and the biological mother went on with her life only contacted harmony when she was having a guilty moment bunch of losers shouldn’t be allowed to breed let alone have custody of children

Adam Montgomery didn't show up today because there wasn't anything happening, the Jury was out all day looking at locations, there were no opening statements, that will happen tomorrow, so it wasn't necessary for him to be there, tomorrow is a different story, he better be there tomorrow when opening statements happens, if he doesn't want to show up tomorrow the Judge should make him show up to his trial. I have a feeling the jury will find him guilty, there's a lot of evidence against him, especially when Kayla takes the stand. Adam made sure Kayla didn't know where Harmony's body was because he was paranoid she was going to rat him out to the police, that's why he always kept Kayla in his sights, he was so afraid that she would run off and tell on him. That bag on the table looks like it might be a big duffle bag, maybe the one Adam put Harmony in, that or the cooler. I don't think we will ever find Harmony, if it's true what I heard, she might not be in one piece. Kayla said Adam was in the bathroom with Harmony's dead body for hours, so he might have done something to her body, if you know what I mean, then he gets a friend to rent the U-Haul, and he drives around for a few hours with Harmony, he made a lot of stops, if true, we might not find her. It's so sad, how can anybody treat their child like that. I hope he rots in hell for what he's done.

That’s her obligation under the sixth amendment to provide effective assistance of counsel and to preserve his right to appeal trial issues if/when he is convicted. You don’t have to like Adam Montgomery. I certainly don’t . However, our Constitution affords all individuals with certain rights when accused of a crime. These rights apply to everyone even people we find despicable. Ensuring that even the worst people are given these rights is necessary in order to protect all of us from a government that would otherwise overstep its authority. For that reason you should be grateful for individuals like his defense attorney, who are able to overcome their personal bias towards a defendant in order to ensure the Constitution is followed .

It truly is horrible that precious Harmony had no one to love & protect her not her mother not even the system. We don't truly know what "The plea deal" entailed Yes! Kayla testified against Adam and that was part of it... But as I look back during Adam first trial and Kayla was testifying against Adam, I noticed something that most people wouldn't have or have any idea. Did anyone notice Kayla while on the stand how she seemed sleepy or her eyes? Why didn't the Defense Attorney explain alittle about the clinic (the first stop) that Adam & Kayla "frequent" That clinic was a "Methdone Clinic" These two (Adam & Kayla) were strung out on drugs. Methdone NOT (Meth) is use to help people who are strung out on heroin/opioid to detox. Yet the Defense attorney didn't say anything regarding it. I'm NOT ON anyone side but I thought this was important... They were strung out on drugs and doing crimes and let's face it Kayla was sitting shot gun. Anything is possible!

Know someone else said this but the Uncle should have have went down to the police station told them what he saw and what happened, They should of went to that house and removed Harmony right then and there Period. The places that should of helped her and Kept her safe like CPS Failed that little girl 💯! If something or someone had done something then this would of never happened and that Sweet little girl would still be here Period! Im so sorry for what you had to go through Harmony! Brwaks my heart and makes me physically sick what he did to her. Many people love you sweet girl! God has you in his arms now and you will know the evil that man did to you anymore, You are Safe.

@crazybeautiful4270
@crazybeautiful4270 5 ай бұрын
Some States it’s not mandatory for the defendant to attend the trial/listen to victim/family statements. It’s so messed up imo. I suppose though if we’re following the law , he is “allegedly” guilty. (We all know he’s not and should have to hear and see every single thing that is going on in the court room).

Yet another actively lazy person, wanting everyone else to do the work and give the answers. And you think they send people to death row for 2nd degree murder??? I just have no words.🤯
