Fun fact: The block paving in the old town of Prague is taken from old pavement streets in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. They were taken mainly from boulevard "Peshtersko shose" in Plovdiv which is now made from asphalt instead. Each piece of box paving was sold for just 6 stotinki (3 euro cents) back in the mid 90s. It was a huge scandal at the time, because the mayor of Plovdiv, Spas Garnevski (between 1995 and 1999), sold these for an absurdly low price compared to the normal price of box paving. This is why he was publicly accused for corruption practices, but there was never an actual lawsuit against him.

A part of Plovdiv I'm pretty sure I never saw. Looks like a location where new construction has happened. Maybe replacing some Soviet era housing. And I doubt a tourist would take time to see it.

Thank you for a lovely video from Prague. It is such a stylish and beautiful, old historic city! I have been there about 27 years ago. We actualky took a bus from Copenhagen to Prague with a 3 year old, as back then flights were so expensive. When seeing this video, I realise we have to go there again, it's such a great city. Sorry for you, having trouble with your equipment, but you are a real professional, you still made a great episode. You have so much talent and do a fantastic job, showing us the wonders of the world 🌍. It is great seeing new places but equally fun seeing places visited before. (PS, I can sympathize with you having problems with rolling the suitcase on the cobblestones, I tried that on my trip to Amsterdam last year. I was thinking, someone needs to invent a better system of wheels).

I first visited Prague in 1985. Prague is a wonderful city, with wonderful architecture and a convenient metro, cozy wine bars. Prague has extremely delicious food - sausages, goulash, dumplings, but I most often ordered roasted pork knuckle. I loved wandering around Hradcany. I recommend the favorite restaurant of the great Jaroslav Hasek, the author of "The Adventures of the Good Soldier Švejk" - "U Kaliha". There you will return to the beginning of the 20th century, the time before the First World War, the beginning of the end of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

There are regular destinations from Sofia Airport at quite reasonable prices. I recommend subscribing to the promotions of the low-cost airlines Wizz Air and Ryanair. Tickets to cities like Milan and Bari in Italy, and Memmingen in Germany, are often between 10 and 20 euros.

i visited prague last september. my first time. really enjoyed it. but i unsuccessfully searched for the Slav murals by Mucha because they had been moved to Moravia! now i hear they are back in prague at the Savarin . rick steves says they are not to be missed. also, the luxury collection hotel The Augustine is in a real monastery where 4 monks live, and there is a monastic tour every thursday for 10 euro

If you're still in Prague you should go to the Vytopna Railway Restaurant. It's famous for having miniature model trains deliver the food to you on the counter. You stop the train when it gets to you. It's fun!

There is a channel I've subscribed to called Real Prague Guides. It has 200 videos with more Czechia info than most tourists need. But what Alina is seeing is far from what the reality is. A battle against disease in the 19th century led to renovation of the poorest areas of the city with Art Deco buildings. And theJewish Quarter became a red light district when the Jews were forced out of their homes.

What a pleasure to watch how you enjoing Prague! Definetely I can recommend you unexpected city to visit like Riga. Old city is so cozy and they have some stunning arcitectural buildings. The best time to visit of course is a summer. Because they have that shitty Baltic weather with winds and rains ) I belive 2 days will be enaugh to explore the city. Maybe 3 if you're willing to see a beach in Jurmala. Also it's easy to visit all Baltic capitals in one trip: Vilnus-Riga-Tallin by bus and even Helsinky by ferry. The real pleasure of exploring europian cities is traviling only with hand luggege -- cheap and fast moving from one point to enother. Not sure if that's aplicable in your case )) Who knows maybe you'll find a partner for your journeys to make things easier ;) Good luck!

@ I liked the Albanian ones a lot. Not sure about Croatia. Have to look that up. The sea coast of Croatia is gorgeous. If I TRAVELED, I'd definitely go there. I do folk dances, and we've done many Croatian folk dances.Drmes is an example. Alina NEVER sees local groups when they exhibit their love of folk dance. That's why I'm saying she needs to go to Koprivshtitsa.

@ you can not imagine. Canada these days really blows up my eyes. Lots of diploma mill colleges established in abandoned office buildings. Those buildings supposed to be companies but all of them are gone due to economic recessions.
