I saw Chilly Gonzales playing for the first time last night. Truly incredible experience, the guy is on another plane. He played this under a single spotlight beam. Was a real highlight of his show. Advice to anyone - If you get a chance to see live don't miss it...

I love the way the workers feel proud of their piano. It's not a matter of undermining the piano player (that I admire and follow, btw) but this is a celebration of a factory plant that knows that they have achieved greatness and that that piano (I'm sure someone has given it a name) is sounding as it should... "- That lower keys, c'mon" "-That's it, hang in there..." Just as a parent.

L'enfant est resté dans ta musique Chilly Gonzales..notre enfance ressurgit ..léger ,enjoué et passionné et même comme un bon copain quand tu t'adresses aux autres..ton écriture inventive et pleines de couleurs et de tons différents sont comme de croustillantes improvisations assumées et jamais empruntent d'un trop de sérieux..ou sinon celui de l'enfant qui s'applique avec tout son coeur. j'ai fini pour cette fois . 😀
