To help clarify Armand’s age debate: Armand may be stretching the truth about some things, but he is not lying about his age (when he said at the end of last season that he was 514, meaning he was born in 1508.) In this episode he said he was sent to the Paris coven in 1556 and that he spent 239 years after that leading the Paris coven until Lestat came in 1795. He *did not* say that he was already 239 in 1556 when he was sent to Paris. He was much younger than that at that point (about 48). He was about 287 when he met Lestat (and Lestat had just recently been turned at that point). Oh! And about Lestat’s family. In the books they were noble (as in they had a title) but they were dirt poor country lords. Lestat, as he said last season, got all his wealth from his maker (who killer himself) Magnus, and also, Amanda is correct about Magnus being older than Armand. When Armand says “his children” he means his coven members, the Children of Darkness, not that he made them. Sorry for being so annoying 😂

Brad Pitt didn’t want to work on that project for some reason. He even stopped washing himself so that other actors would start complaining and the producers would kick him out. So, at the end of the day, I think it’s better that he played the moody character and that Tom Cruise played the unhinged one 😅

Tom cruise also wanted out he Said he couldn't handle all the night shoots and the darkness but he did an amazing job as lestat

daniel's parkinsons would def go away cause back in s1 louis offered him the dark gift so that he would have a steady hand to walk his daughter down the aisle

But then that is kinda a plot hole I think… why then can you not turn cripples if the affliction should heal itself after being turned?

@@remholloway2579 well i think disease is different from disability 🤷🏻‍♀️ plus anne's writings mainly judge a vampire's strength to survive is about mental strength and you can have a disease but your brain is well balanced u know?

i have a theory that lestat will show up in the last episode, a la the '94 movie, and take over the interview. still unsure what would happen with armand and louis, but it's a cool idea.

Lestat specifically said makers can't hear their fledgling's thoughts, he didn't say that it was a two-way thing. It seems like fledglings can still hear their maker's thoughts cos in S1 ep 2 Lestat could still project his thoughts to Louis.

So,Armand's former coven sent him to Paris in 1556, and he was the head of the one in Paris for 239 years. This means that the flashback took place in 1795, and therefore, the current Armand is a little bit over 500 years old. I know it's the case in the book as well,but I hope they will change that part in the show. It's hard for me to believe the Roman coven sent a young vampire to lead the Paris Coven. I would've assumed they would have sent someone who had been a vampire for at least half a century. For me, it would make a lot more sense if Armand was 600 or 700 hundred years old. Which could still be the case. We just don't know when he became a vampire.

I agree with questioning why they sent someone so young to lead the coven. Armand himself said he wasn’t ready to lead at that point, Maybe it was because Armand was already powerful from the ancient blood he got (from Marius)? Maybe we’ll see.

It was a deliberate choice to pick a young vampire. The reasoning is that the younger ones tend to be a little more militant and less questioning. Therefore, he would follow the doctrine without challenge.. which he did.

@thinkhaven7902 I can understand that. But sending a young vampire with limited abilities would've been risky if he would've crossed path with an old one. I think there are pros and cons. He did follow the doctrine for a couple of centuries,so I assumed an older vampire would've done the same for at least a century or more.
