According to guilty words channel she’s spent 160k and that doesn’t include the courts time, more money ongoing to jail break investigations, more expert witness and their fees plus expenses or the amount of money for the jail and staff to transfer her back and forth or the court and its employees time. Now including her free lawyers and their assistants time this is just going to be under 400k without the hidden fees of the court’s and jail staff’s time. She’s a succubus by every meaning of the word beyond being an apparition or spirit. She’s figured out how to take and keep taking and making flying monkeys all around her. Now with these lawyers getting paid it puts expenses so far over 200k. I had no idea that one murderer could get that amount of money from the taxpayers.

Any media deals - books, movies, interview, whatever - Boone does should first go to paying back the state for the seven attorneys, definitely before the current private counsel she has retained currently. Hope the state pushes for this

Calling any of your court appointed (or not) lawyers “snotty” and to accuse them of lying is unacceptable. It is disqualifying. Boone deserves the reproach from this judge who rightly appoints the blame to her for destroying and distorting the relationship.

Before I heard the judges ruling. I thought she would say $10,000 flat fee each person, because as described it could go to the max of 200% - $30,000 TOTAL divided by three people. I think the 15k for each attorney was a Win!!!

I’m disappointed that Boone’s shenanigans have effectively tripled the cost of her defense to the Florida taxpayers, but I think this is fair. Each of these attorneys put a lot of effort and time into this case and it’s not their fault that they had to withdraw. They shouldn’t be punished for Boone’s bad faith.

This makes me soooo mad ... no acknowledgement that Bankowitz was defending a capital case at the time, & during his representation had a car accident resulting in back injuries. Or of the huge discrepancy between Bankowitz's description of the time he spent with Boone - compared to what was in her letters. At the time, you ALWAYS sympathised with Boone, naively believing every word she wrote in her letters.

They are not public defenders- that is the difference. Public defenders get paid a salary. These are court appointed PRIVATE attorneys.

With that logic Pete, that’s like saying “its a easy babysitting job, parents have a nice house and it’s just one toddler for 2 hours,” but… if that toddler was born from the depths of hell, that changes the entire babysitting experience and job, a sitter might even charge more if theres a next time. It might be a strait forward case per evidence, but Sarah going through 9 attorneys, there’s nothing easy about that and that does matter, she makes it incredibly difficult and adds significantly more stress…

I’ve been telling everybody that it was not an accident. She did it on purpose. It’s so obvious, and since I know the family, I definitely know it wasn’t because of battered spouse syndrome. She was the main aggressor he always defended himself.

If I remember correctly, it was Sarah Boone’s current defense team that tried to say none of the previous lawyers had gone down the road of battered spouse syndrome, not the prosecution. They tried to say they were starting from square one with that defense.

I think these lawyers deserved the $15,000 each. They do a good deed being on the court appointed list. Sarah Boone is the type of defendant that will make a lawyer choose not to be on the court appointed list. She’s just such a drain on the system and I am so glad the judge has put his foot down.

They are trying to say they should each get paid more then what the amount the state normally would pay one lawyer, since they have to split it. That’s my take, so I could be wrong lol

So I have a question... Is the "battered spouse defense" solely about a moment of self-defense, or does it also cover a situation where a person has so endured so much abuse that they simply snapped, and couldn't take any more? Their life at that moment may not have been in jeopardy, but they simply snapped. This has happened before with children of abusive parents or grandparents, for example. (I honestly don't know, and I'm just asking.)

Sure 45k might not seem like a lot and split between all the Floridian tax payers doesn’t seem like a lot. As of now though without these lawyers paid she’s spent 160k AND COUNTING which doesn’t include the court and their employees time or the ongoing fees for the PI firm and the more time with the experts and their expenses so by the time this is said and done it’s going to be well over 250k or a 1/4 of a million dollars. This also doesn’t include her and the jail’s staff travels fees to get to court and housing Boone and feeding her. Now that they’ve gotten their fees it’s going to be over 300k not including all the courts cost or her travel and housing. I’m sure glad I’m not a Florida tax payer. I’m actually astounded at how much money has been spent on this one murderer. Let’s also remember her new lawyers and their assistants aren’t getting a dime either and I’m not sure how to calculate for their time and expenses but I would assume that would put it just shy of 1/2 a million dollars at this point. Sarah has gotten through at least the last 10 years of her life living and drinking on other people’s money aka Brian Boone and she sure does know how to get and make flying monkeys to do her bidding all around her. She is a danger to her son for sure who’s life she swore on his life at least 3 times after just taking Jorge’s life and it’s been rumored she had already put her son in a suitcase let alone anyone who crosses her path she feels has slighted her. She is a succubus on society and to anyone who gets close to her and I do hope she is found guilty and get whatever the max sentence is to protect society and her child from this self righteous vulture who has no ability to correct her behavior and instead just points the finger to all around her. Deciding to not let him out imo is plenty for 1st degree but whatever. They obviously want to go with what they think they can get a guilty verdict on. I would actually like to see her actual calls with her son compared to all the bs she wrote to her family judge about cause I’m sure she exaggerated that as well above and beyond like she does everything else. A taker through and through with nothing valuable to give to anyone that isn’t herself.
