I had several 3 hour infusions it really helped but it doesn't last because unless they give you a script for home use which they don't it loses effectiveness. They did talk about a nasal spray which never did materialize the disassociated effect really gives someone with severe PSTD, CHRONIC PAIN, MDD OR ANXIETY a much needed break it is really weird at first but you get used to it.

I had ketamine therapy through my psychiatrist. It was nothing psychedelic, it was just numbing that wore off after a few hours. But my depression and anxiety were markedly improved for a few months. The only problem? Completely unaffordable, as are all expensive medications like my insulin, while on a fixed disability income. So, I guess you can get it only if you're rich. Meanwhile those who need it can't afford it -- if they also want to eat.

@@chiquitabee11 Yes, safe. Five sessions over two weeks. Medicine slowly goes into bloodstream through IV, takes about 30 minutes to an hour. You are awake but feel numb, but numbness goes away completely in a few hours, and you're awake not sleepy. Need a driver to take you home. Depression improves for about three months, then you need to go back for booster infusions.

This treatment is life changing. It doesn't resolve your external problems but if you've been living in a horrible haze this medication almost helps you look at yourself in a third person perspective. It helps you to think about what truly matters. When done correctly with a doctor it can be life saving. It's a shame insurance won't cover it since it could save countless lives.

I'm a Vietnam vet and I have struggled with PTSD, Major Depressive Disorder, suicidal ideations and every anxiety issue you could imagine, ranging from social anxiety to extreme rage and night terrors. These conditions have been a part of my life for nearly 50 years. I have also been prescribed every antidepressant and anxiety medication ever produced with limited to zero relief. I tried Ketamine infusions approx 3 years ago going for just one treatment. The results were near miraculous. I later followed up with a full 6 treatment regimen and I have never had such an extreme and sustained positive result in my entire life. I am providing this comment primarily for my veteran brothers and sisters out there who also suffer the devastating and life-altering effects of combat. I implore you give it a try. Unfortunately, the VA currently offers only extremely limited accessibility to a recently approved milder form of Ketamine known as Esketamine (Spravato) and only in certain geographic areas. I don't think anything could even come close to the effectiveness of the infusion treatment. Although it is a little costly and is not covered by the VA at this time, it was WELL WORTH the out-of-pocket expense. Understand, that as a disabled veteran I have access all the FREE pills I need, but I still choose to pay out-of-pocket because the results far exceed the cost. I am in the Sarasota Florida area and receive my treatments at the Reichbach Center. They are amazing and I feel as though I owe them my life because at least now...........I have one!

.. hi there :) I hope you are able to focus on urgent care as chronic care by physicians does not focus on resolving root causes, but merely chronic suppression of symptoms. Some drugs are necessary, but most chronic drugs unfortunately are not physiologically compatible with health. The culture of the medical industry is really complicated because most ppl who have something to lose by knowing the truth of the backwardness of the pharmaceutical and medical industries are not responsive to logic. And this just perpetuates unhealth. 😥

Watching you drift away into a chemically induced state of euphoria was equal parts chilling and harrowing for a grateful recovering addict such as myself. It reminded me of that "soaring through the stars, at one with the universe, where everyday is Christmas and every night New Years Eve" feeling I spent so many destructive years chasing during my time in active addiction. Ketamine may be for some, but not this one. I love who I am and what I'm becoming, even on the days when I'm fraught with anxiety or buckled by depression. Today I accept my feelings, even on the shitty days, because they are critical to building the relationships I need to stay healthy and connected. They are also central to my success in my roles as a friend, son, brother, and confidant. Because I'm real, people around me are free to be real...even on their shitty days. I maintain an open mind and heart when considering treatments for others. But for me, life on life's terms has proven most effective.

The impact on my life is nothing short of extraordinary. Objectively, I've stopped drinking and no longer experience a thirst for alcohol. Anxiety is no longer in my vocabulary. There are other less overt effects, but none-the-less profound. I've been on SSRI's for 30 years and they have never worked very well for my depression. Like yourself Kyle, I know that everyone would have an improvement in their lives as I have and others I have talked with. I have been doing ketamine this past year about every 4 weeks. My infusions look a bit different. They are about 40 mins and looks like a higher dose, because during treatment I completely dissociate. I have headphones with classical music and a blindfold. One time even felt like I was on a ride at Disneyland. I could even feel cool air on my face as I “traveled” during my treatment. Each time I do it I notice the pick me up it gives me. Not a cure all, but very helpful in my recovery. First time I used it, I was amazed how much better I felt. I didn’t think I could handle another day, but with the ketamine I was able to keep putting one foot in front of the other. I really hope more people can try it. It can be a life changer. Now if insurance would cover the cost, imagine how many more people could feel relief.

Just had my 5th ketamine infusion , setting is extremely important, seems to work best in a controlled and comfortable environment. Instrumental music is an integral part of my experience, while wearing a mask reduces visual input. For me it’s been very powerful, the feeling of being connected as one is the biggest takeaway, but also important to know that it’s not the experience itself that is the greatest benefit but the healing of self as new brain connections are made. It’s made me see things from a much different and positive perspective. I wish everyone could benefit the way I have but do understand it may not work so well for some or not affordable to many. My hope is that insurances will start covering treatments for those who feel this would be a good option.

Setting is not important at all for ketamine. Also hope doctors arent overcharging you as a vial of ketamine costs $5. It's not an affordability issue, doctors literally put a paywall around ketamine and use it wrongly. That's a greed issue. They have zero clues about how ketamine works, I could list like 14 different mechanisms off the top of my head.

I've had my 2nd infusion a couple of weeks ago. I have chronic pain due to a connective tissue disorder, but I am also in treatment for complexe ptsd. On both fronts I got huge results. My pain is considerably less and I managed to use significantly less strong painkillers day to day. Also my husband and daughter (she just turned 7 the day after my first infusion, she found a happy mom who could do a lot more the best b-day present ever 😍) really saw huge,Huge changes. My mood is better, my triggers and dissasociating aswell as anxiety is way less. My psychologist also really saw a big difference and we are now able to start using emdr to begin and work on some of my worst trauma's. So I am definately a big fan of the ketamine infusions, wished I started years ago! I'm now sceduled for 4 infusions each year and hope I will be able to keep reaping the huge benefits of this treatment💪👍😁

I came to the exact realization on an incredibly high dose of Ayahuasca. Realizing that we are all one is both breathtaking and heartbreaking at the same time. On one hand you see all the beauty, feel all the love and inter-connectedness, and experienced all the joy you could hope for. On the other hand you hurt so incredibly deeply for the world, you notice all the dysfunctionality of humans in the current state, and you notice how out of touch you were with yourself and how out of touch the majority of people are with themselves while pursuing unhappy lives and living so unreasonably attached to the physical and material world trying to appease everyone else. The stark contrast made it difficult for myself to "re-integrate" into normal life after the "glow" wore off so it isn't all roses and daisies as most would like to hope. I just hope you got to keep your glow and I'm happy you got to have such an amazing and positive experience.

i took lsd a few times in college (i know this is not the same thing or same effects) and i remember going outside and seeing the beauty in the things around me and losing the thoughts keeping me bogged down, it let me see outside of myself and gave me a sense of connectedness with nature and the world. i havent felt that way before or since despite trying many antidepressants over the years. i think about that often, wishing i could feel that sense of peace and connectedness again because i feel so disconnected from everything like i’m not even part of society i just exist in my depression bubble by myself. my depression and anxiety has gotten a lot worse since then so i don’t think i would ever take it again risking a bad trip but ketamine treatments sound so hopeful to me. i really hope i can try it someday as i feel like i’m out of options and i’m so glad it’s helping other people like me feel better ❤️

I could see myself going down that rabbit hole when I heard him say, "I don't want this to end, I want to go back to that feeling." I'm not an addict but I've come close. I'm sure that if I could find a way to escape my depression and anxiety on a regular basis, I probably would. Ketamine seems too good to be true. Hey guys! I've done ECT and ketamine. The former not only didn't help with my treatment resistant depression, but also caused me important memory loss, specially involving autobiographical events and general knowledge (including that related to my professional skills). On the other hand, ketamine improved significantly my disease and helped the cognitive functioning as well. In my opinion, with exception for those who have very specific contraindications, everyone to whom has been indicated ECT should try ketamine first. A nurse came over thinking I may want to puke, as many do post anaesthetic patients but I felt like I could just go out dancing! I was taken back to my room - can't remember that bit - but was sitting up feeling so wonderfully chipper chatting to my sister. The two surgeons did a second take when they saw me - I felt AMAZING. I believe knowledge gives me an advantage, since I understand my feelings and am aware of the triggers and the processes behind my thoughts. However, the underlying feeling of depression is there.

I went to the 2019 psychedelic conference that held the world's main psychedelic researchers and people with DEA license. The ketamine clinics had the highest efficacy for reducing suicidality in teens and in veterans. There was one particular story of a teenager who tried to commit suicide over 30 times and after her first ketamine treatment never wanted to kill herself ever again. Similar stories with veterans. However I think the most notable is that it helps people with severe neuropathic pain and helps them to reduce the amount of opioids or medicines that they have to take.

I think it's right to say psychedelic have absolutely profound and promising benefits (I can say that from my own personal experience). But we cannot be ignorant to the negatives as well. As we see this Renaissance of psychedelics, we have to create an environment of education before use. Regardless of if you're using it to find yourself or just have a good time. Understanding these substances and using them in a healthy manner should be paramount. Psilocybin was a key factor in regaining control of my mental health after combat deployments in the military... On a fairly low dose, 50mg per day for post surgery pain, my crushing symptoms, the feeling of carrying a ten tonne weight pin my head, and my hair-trigger anxiety and irritability vanished. I became a better version of myself, i.e. me without the anguish and pain. Over 8 years I've gone up to 4 50g dose tablets per day. If ketamine is a lifesaver for you then do it. But some concerns I thought about were the sensitivity to light and sound during the treatments. In short, in the nineties I had a surgery that left me feeling like I had a hangover. And I mean the sensitivity to noise made me feel like my head was going to crack like an eggshell. Thought it was a reaction to the anesthetic. Told my surgeon and primary caregiver and they didn’t understand. Fast forward to a few years ago I needed multiple surgeries and discovered afterward a similar feeling to before with sensitivity but stiffness and excruciating pain. Discovered I have fibromyalgia. And if I were to do ketamine, I’m afraid it will rouse the fibromyalgia like my past surgeries did. Also am concerned that if you are a previous addict or have tendencies to be an addict to drugs and such, I am concerned about Kyles response to ketamine as it’s like he didn’t want to leave that feeling. Brigid appeared to have a more normal response to the treatment. (Not intentionally cutting down Kyle).

i’m sorry that happened to you and i hope you’re feeling better. i think its important to remember that meds work different for everyone so while some people can have a bad reaction it obviously also helps a lot of people. i’m sure before giving this treatment they do a thorough evaluation of the risks and benefits for each individual person, and people who struggle with addiction probably aren’t offered it very often even if they really need it. i’m not incredibly well researched on this but it seems to me like addiction doesn’t seem to be a significant worry in this treatment given that it’s only given under the supervision of doctors over multiple weeks and months time rather than daily at home. it seems like any immediate euphoric effects wear off pretty quickly and the mood boosting effects can last weeks and even months also lots of people live with sensory sensitivities every day anyway and if it could help the debilitating depression that makes everything even worse i’d certainly try it in a heartbeat

It’s called a sense of well-being. I experienced it for a short time when I began taking Prozac. It made me realize how severe my sense of disconnect was. I always felt like a complete outsider and what a bystander I was. I felt like I knew what it was like to have the sense of well-being that it seemed others had. My Dr explained some people’s brains make neurotransmitters but they get lost somehow and can’t “fill up” the brain to give a sense of well-being. The drug puts a dam or like a sink stopper so you retain the neurotransmitters. Unfortunately these drugs seldom make any permanent cure. You Jack up the dose until you get side effects. Prozac triggered mania but it took several years to realize I had bipolar disorder. Wasn’t pretty. I tried psilocybin as a teen once and it made me feel like I was on the best carnival ride ever and yes, it makes you feel like you LOVE everyone and everything was so far beyond funny I thought I’d blow a gasket. Then it wears off and normal life would happen. A carnival ride that makes you want to 🤮

I’ve been thinking about this treatment for a long time and I probably will do it if my new therapist approves it once I move

I can honestly see a huge improvement when comparing the end of this video to previous videos before he had this procedure. Anyone else notice it too?

I didn’t have a good reaction. I felt extremely out of this world and not connected with my body. I mean I was injected and unknowingly went into that experience but I will say , at one point I had an eye opening moment where I felt euphoric. Other times I panicked and cried wanting it to end.

I'm pretty traumatized, I think I'd respond well to it...I've had it before recreationally. I'm so used to being this depressed that I can't even imagine feeling normal again. My brain chemistry is garbage but my attitude and will to persevere is generally pretty good.

I just signed up for a clinical trial for Ketamine therapy because I’ve tried so many natural methods (talk therapy, acupuncture, omega 3) and at least 5+ antidepressants and nothing has helped me. Thank you for sharing your experience I hope this treatment will help me with my severe treatment resistant depression

I'm currently the morning after 1 treatment. I'm clear headed and my thoughts are coming at a normal speed (unlike before how they came too fast and chaotic). I feel like I have a new outlook on life (things that made me aniexty filled yesterday aren't bothering me today). What stood out about the experience was that at anytime I wanted I could be at any place in my past as if I walked back in time to that exact spot. While in that place in the past I could feel every detail of that memory and I saw (like he said) how we all loved each other on a soul level and how I needed to just let go of all this silly aniexty. I definitely think it rewired my brain cause even my usual annoying dull headache is gone. My only fear is that this wonderful new outlook will go away! Oh one more thing about the experience that was notable....all my guilt (big one for me), fear, aniexty and pain (I have chronic pain) was completely gone (I actually wondered if I was becoming a sociopath 😂 but have no fear my empathy is still there!).

Yes, I would try it if able. I have major depressive disorder, ptsd, anxiety, etc. To not feel these things or feel them noticeably less would be an amazing thing. Life changing. Thank you for sharing your experience. ☺️

I have my first appointment in two days to discuss the infusion. I've had depression my whole life, anxiety and PTSD every since I was hit by a drunk driver 20yrs ago today! I deal with severe back pain and nerve damage. It's been so long since I've been able to feel any peace or general happiness. I am really looking forward to trying this, it's been a long time since I've had something to look forward to regarding any type of emotional or physical pain relief.
