And the saddest part of all of this is our youth have been told capitalism is BAD and SOCIALISM is GOOD 😔

My family came from Ukraine, most of this info about life in the Soviet Union sounds right based on my family’s stories as well from back then. Also, with terrible healthcare that was “free” but not really free because the doctors wouldn’t treat you without getting a “bribe”. Communism is the worst . Thanks for this video, really interesting!

I grew up doing laundry by hand and hanging it up. Sometimes, when the wringer washer was working, we used it after filling it up with buckets of water, we carried it because there wasn't running water where i grew up. We had an outhouse because of no inside plumbing, and we heated with kerosene heaters because the buck stove was too dangerous to use. We never had much, but we loved each other, and we grew up good. Daddy would work from dusk to dawn on the farms around us, and I would get to go and help sometimes. I enjoyed going and working with dad. Because of him, i grew up with a good work ethic. I have never seen anything wrong with growing up with not having much, but the way I grew up would probably feel like paradise to some in other countries. Once I got with my husband, had running water, inside plumbing, and cable television, i felt fancy lol. I remember the one time my parents had it rough, and we was homeless for a period of time, but dad made it seem like a vacation by staying near a creek and giving us kids rides on his back, him on his hands and knees, which i know now had to cut and hurt his knees. You don't need a lot in life to be happy as long as you have God and a loving family.

Difference is it was your own! And more importantly, you had God! Soviets had drab factory jobs & no God in their hearts! Only fear of The State!

Always great information.A real close-up look at what is really going on in all these different places in the world.Head and shoulders above what we are being fed by the so-called media .The world would be so much better off if the reporting you do would go out into the air waves of local so-called news. It would be healing for the nations.We need it so badly.Truth has a way of healing and cutting thru deception. Great,great job,Chuck.Really,really great job.

Chuck your so funny 2 kids adopted from Kazakhstan. We went for our 1st adoption in November very cold we would bang on the hotel wall and say turn on the hot water so we could shower lol. They usually turned it on. We rode in Romania on a Soviet era train 12 hrs, our pillows were stuffed with hay. All apartment buildings were the same both countries. I was in East Germany 6 months after Berlin wall fell stark contrast between East and west Germany horrible way of life 😢

I went to Albania in 2002 and it was the same, the homes were in apartment blocks like that with stairs, no elevators. At the time it was bad enough that they didn’t have consistent power or running water during the day, and that was in 2002. The poverty was confronting too.

Moscow seems beautiful and really clean Tucker Carlson was amazed at just how beautiful the infrastructure is in Russia today compared to the descriptions given by Americans that visited Russia for work including his father before the Soviet Union collapsed. Says a lot about communism and socialism compared to the prosperity of capitalism.
@williamstrips30784 ай бұрын
Many of the heavy industries were Russian owned before the Soviet Union collapsed. The Russian owners very often took all the machinery with them when they closed the factory down.
