Met Gala 2024: Red carpet celebrity looks from fashion's biggest night

It's the first Monday in May and the 2024 Met Gala is underway. Celebrities flocked to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City for fashion's biggest night. This year's theme, "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion," is positioned to be an exploration of "rebirth" and "renewal" that uses nature as a metaphor for the impermanence of fashion.

The people that attend get to see the exhibit first and the usually do have entertainment inside and dinner as well that's why a lot of designers buy tables most of them pay for their celebrity's way in. The red carpet usually includes celebrities who were preselected and they're typically allowed to work on their outfit with the designer. I think one of them actually gets picked to be in the exhibit when the gala is over.,

It's a fundraiser for the museum and to preserve certain costumes and artwork. Those invited show off fashions but donate big money.

Let ppl enjoy themselves for a night. Their purpose is not to save America and shouldn't be but they do donate and raise funds to save certain designs and artwork. The Met is a large museum that depends on private funding. The local and Federal Governments and private organizations are meant to help people.
