@@RonCavagnaro I started to read the manual...I'll have some question, for example about the chor oscillator, how use it in pattern mode. Funny how people talk trash on YT lol, they say it can't make chords and it only plays PCM samples. This happens when they don't read the manual, lol. I'll be back for some questions, it'll take months to understand everything. What a beautiful machine! 🙂

@@RonCavagnaro Now I started to read the manual...by the way, my baby was damaged after all, of course they ruined the Phone contact, it still works but it's broken into pieces, the plastic case of the 6.3 jack Phone Out. I had to fish them out, but otherwise it''s like new, poor guy who immediately damaged it when he bought it. Anyway, I have a question. I'm a Cubase guy with linear recordings and so on, I don't think in patterns, lol. But, what would happen if I compose a small song in Cubase (for testing, say, 128 measures, map it out for the Midi channels (Ch 10: Drums Ch 1-5: synths) and save it as a Midi file. Could I load it in corretly, a linear 128 measure Midi file with intro, main, etc.? I mean,the EMX only uses patterns...but it could be great to render everything in the Electribe after I tailored the song carefully in Cubase, adding the good stuff in the EMX. What is your experience, would that work? Did you test it before? (I bookmarked your EMX list, will watch them when I have time)

@@Aetila you can try yes but synch from computer to midi is always messed. I use a hardware tascam for recording audio :)

@@RonCavagnaro Sorry, you misunderstood my question. I try to explain...I mean, if you SAVE the mentioned song as a Midi file an LOAD it into the EMX, say, via Midi Dump, or better on a Smart Media card (I don't have it yet but will buy), could that work? (a large Midi song file into the EMX, for rendering and FX) The question is: Can you load in a longer Midi file (say 128 measures), maybe as a Song or something, so that you can later render everything on the EMX, a full Midi Song. I mean, the EMX usually works with patterns, but what about a whole Midi song from Cubase, can you load it into the EMX...would it allow such a "long" linear composition, instead of some patterns? I ask it because I like to see what I'm doing in Cubase lol, setting the notes easily, in scale...but then it would be great to upload the whole Midi song with the mapped out channels into the EMX to add the synth sounds and FX motions, etc.

Emx 1 is so much better, e2 has potential but would've been a huge success if it had the exact same functions as emx 1. It's a shame how limited it is.

The sounds you get from this thing are still fresh and inventive. But I have a problem. You seem to talk to the audience as if we all have one of these. For those of us that know NOTHING about this machine, I would LOVE to see you come out with a video, explaining simple steps for us idiots. Like, "how to play a drum beat" or "how to dial up, a synth sound or instrument sound." I've been composing music on a Korg PA500 arranger for the past 13 years and although I want to upgrade to something "fresher" I also want it to be user friendly, easy to read, etc. Any videos you could recommend for us newbies?

Yes I think so. Basically. But each volca is specialized for it's own character. You could sequence them externally from emx
