It would be great if we lived in a world where all police and all forms of the justice system respected our rights and never ever bended the rules to suit their personal goals or agendas, but unfortunately, that's obviously not the world that we live in. The part where he said “I just can’t call the cops on her” was the red flag for me. Sounds like he was trying to keep the car under control while she was going nuts on him, because men get abused, too. The way he started crying when they got to that part in their chat was a sign to me that he may not be the aggressor, ever. But he would never report her. I was hopeful when the officer went to the car to speak to the woman, hopeful she heard the same thing and was going to ask pertinent questions but she didn’t, and still gave him the citation when it seemed the woman was the one throwing e-brakes and opening doors, creating the reckless chaos they were pulled over for. But hey, I wasn’t there.
