What I’ve noticed from watching Live PD: When cops approach people nicely, people respond nicely and the interaction goes over well. Like in this scenario. When cops approach people aggressively people respond aggressively and the cops escalate the problem into something it didn’t need to be. Cops set the tone for the entire interaction and need to be trained to approach people with the presumptive of innocence rather than the presumption of guilt.
