I think some magicians don't like the Braue reversal because they think it's unmotivated. I highlight it, stop halfway and separate the two halves as I say I'm going to mix the cards face up Into face down. I also like the way you did it here, had to go back and watch that again.

I came to write exactly this. I find it unmotivated unless I make an issue of it myself like you do. I still avoid it if I can do something else though. I suppose I just never liked it when I first learned it very early on in my magic learning so it never took root!
