Dragonsteel Animation Studios. This is the way. Start with doing animations for the kickstarters to build it.
@gizzardgizzard35838 ай бұрын
This is the way! Sanderson is able to raise millions on kickstarter for his books, just imagine how much more demand there would be for an adaptation for one of his works on kickstarter (I haven't backed any of his projects yet, but if there was an adaptation I'd give like $500+). I respect that he wants to maintain a relationship with hollywood, but they just aren't reliable these days and even when something is greenlit it seems like anything that isn't like stranger things popularity is put on the chopping block

@45:00 or there about you got me thinking about how many have gotten diabetes wrong in movies. The character has an low blood sugar set of symptoms but they treat it as though they are having a high sugar reaction. Low blood sugar means you eat, high blood sugar means you take medicine. Low blood sugar has immediate problems, high blood sugar can build up for a long time before it becomes apparent, especially if the diabetic drinks a lot of water & stops eating. Thank you for taking the time to talk with those who suffer & their experiences.

I think Brandon may underestimate the influence Korean TV may have influenced his approach to storytelling: we've been getting into some K-dramas recently, and looking into what the Korean TV industry does differently from other countries lines up precisely with some of Brandon's recent critique of the streaming TV production scene. K-dramas are long-form storytelling, with one director and one screenwriter hashing out the whole season in advance: precisely how Brandon has recommended shows should be made.

I understand everyone refers to Elhokar as a bad king, but I really just thought he was a "meh" king. But maybe there's no such thing as a "meh" king? You're either good/great or you're bad. "Bad" to me means actively undermining the values and benefits of the society they govern (often favoring some extreme uncommon opinion in the society or acting with intentional ignorance to the reality of the world).

He's released Way of Kings Prime and Dragonsteel Prime is coming as part of the most recent kickstarter, but those are purely curiosities in that a lot of elelements from them ended up in Stormlight already (like all the bridge 4 stuff) which is why he's okay with sharing that, the polished version is already out. Those early books are from before he would do multiple revisions and are just first drafts, and would need a full rewrite and lots of revision to be shareable to the public.
