No one knew they were interested in French firearms, Japanese swords, Warlord Pistols or even British bullpups until a book came along and presented itself as the 1 definitive reading guide You cannot publish more than 1 book on the subjects without loosing a HUGE amount of readers, not unless you target academics & hyper-collectors
@kiwigrunt3302 жыл бұрын
I knew I was interested in Brit bullpups. I doubt there exists a book on the subject that I don't have.

Absolutely AMAZING to Ian on this...or ANY pod...he is the O.G of KZbin gun shows...I've learned MORE from this man than ANY SINGLE person...EVER...about FIREARMS and how they function. Encyclopedic knowledge and an AMAZING storyteller. Props brother.

Dang it...Headstamp got me all in now. Never even heard of these pre colt revolvers, and now I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy both volumes...and Finnish arms? All I knew about them was the made the best Mosins you could get. It all started when somebody found a crate of kickstarter editions of the Chassepot book in the warehouse, after the campaign had ended and I had missed out....to now having bought all the books published so far....

The silencer Maxim was the son of the machine gun Maxim. The son was also into amateur radio and founded the American Radio Relay League, the NRA of ham radio. So guns were definitely a thing with the Maxim’s. Maxim’s automobile silencers were the reason stainless steel was developed. Haynes invented stainless steel for his automobile mufflers based on Maxim’s design. Cool stuff. t. Ham Radio Metallurgist

Kevin - spend some money on customer service. Having a human answer the phone makes a HUGE difference in a customer’s perception of a manufacturer. That matters whether you like it or not. In my opinion there is no comparison between Sig Sauer and the never ending train wreck of the Remington conglomerate (whoever owns them this week). Sig has put out a string of new products that are successful in the marketplace and made in the USA. Their modular striker fired pistols are very popular - with good reason. The Sig Cross is not the same rifle as the Fix (which I own), but it is a breakthrough design in a market that was *very* stuck on the same-old-same-old (bolt action rifles).
