Need to understand that this is a future of energy. No more fosil, with time the buyer of your house will walk away bc has no solar panels ad that means energy cost is higher.

@ABeautifulHeartBeat 11 ай бұрын
@iechevarria5044 that's never going to happen. Not a single green energy solution is sustainable and they all need help from fossil fuels to be created. Electric cars use Diesel generators and our grid which is mainly based on fossils fuels. It's all a joke to steal tax dollars and impose restrictions on the general population. Solar is toxic to produce and panels don't last long and aren't efficient. Wind isn't efficient, hydro isn't either.

@@Wise101because solar is a complete BS if you have access to the grid the grid is cheaper. it takes a decade just to get your return of investment in solar panels and the system you need to run and rely of solar power. if you invest the money you will use to buy the “solar BS they are selling” and use the grid vs investing in solar compare the results in 10years and 100% you will become more successful in using the grid and using your money into something else than wasting money on solar

Exactly. Of course most would still say no - like all the tough guys saying so. But you increase your odds and get a few more to say yes. Nothing in sales is magical and works every time! But if you get 3 out of 100 instead of 1-2 out of 100, that's quite an increase, especially over time.

The issue is the rap that solar got when it first became a thing. Super expensive, companies going out of business cause they weren't built appropriately. If numbers could speak solar would sell itself. Would you rather pay your utility companies 10% hikes every year forever or pay for solar at a fixed rate and own your electricity when you're done paying for it?

Yes, you don't see "returns" on your investment for a long time. But that's not why you're buying it. You're swapping your power bill with Duke, with a solar bill. Your solar bill, has a fixed rate, has a light at the end of the tunnel, and is better for the environment. Duke, or whatever utility you have, uses your money to pay for solar. Your stuck paying them forever, always have to have power. And guess what? Rates not fixed. On average it goes up 3-5% a year, but this year it jumped up almost 18%.

Tell that to the corporate salesman who makes sure you have a job to work at, without commission paid salesman there would be no economy. Without an individual getting a client to sign a contract there is no business. Even if salaried the salesman would have to perform or he would be fired, in order for someone to perform at the highest level you would either need to pay them a high salary or commissions. Then what happens when the high salary is payed to someone who’s no good at sales? The business would tank, and you the waged employee would have no job. I don’t care what business you’re in, the reason you’re able to perform in that business is solely because a salesman is bringing in new business.

It’s just part of the job I guess but yeah I’d hate people knocking on my door that much too. When you said people came to your door, did they say something in particular that turned you off to the idea?” Right into it. If they give valid reasons why they don’t want it I’m fine walking away. If there is a lack of information on their part, I will quickly clarify and let them make a decision again. If they still say no, cool. But sometimes I flip people just by being nice.

@@IKidTheSolar Sure some people may benefit from the PPA, but you have salespeople pitching the PPA to people with taxable income that would benefit greatly from ownership. And yes the commissions are better in a PPA, I've seen it first hand where the rep walks away with twice the amount that the installing contractor gets in gross profit. That doesn't include the overhead the contractor has to pay to keep the lights on, office staff paid.

It’s the financing that makes a lot of these companies a bunch of scumbags. They’re not there to help you save money on electricity. They are there for your money. Interest rates on solar loans generally range from 4% to 7% but can go up to around 36%.
@8ight6ix0z

1. Solar companies don’t make money off of solar loan interest, the banks do, as they are the ones in control of financing. Stop misinforming people because you know 2% of what you think you know. 2. You act like the only way of going solar is a loan. There are state programs all over now where you can just pay for the power the panels produce at a cheaper rate than the utility at no out of pocket cost for install, aka power purchase agreement, aka lease.

Apologies to you Mr Happy Man. I thought for a second you was the uneducated salesman who has no idea how to open more importantly how to close. Yes my only advice is this. If they are 100% presentable they're already half way there. Providing they are polite professional and well spoken you can groom anyone how to book, canvass or close a deal. Most important question I would be asking is what motivates you ? And the only answer should be Money. Other important question would be , what would you do if after 1 week when you haven't closed a deal and your feeling rock bottom. Answer for this should be , I go back to basics. As sales people we all get complacent and very easy to forget your basics. PITCH , ATTITUDE AND WORK RATE! hope this helps

The only way to deal with a "not interested" objection is this. If you was to say to me your not interested I would ask you simply is this down to timing or cost... what the customer is telling you is either he can't afford it or its bad timing. Think about it.... if you was offering your product for free everyone would be interested everyone would want. So keep it simple and try and identify if it's down to cost or timing. If its cost we can make it affordable if its bad timing then you walk away. Biggest mistake sales people try and do is sell to everyone. Your job is to the filter out the shi* and find genuine interest genuine buyers.
