00:00 🚫 Avoid generic rapport-building questions like "How are you doing today?" to prevent lowering your status in the prospect's mind. 06:57 💼 Use specific questions to immediately engage prospects in results-based thinking and establish yourself as an expert. 09:58 🧠 Tailor your approach to different industries and situations to effectively engage prospects and convey expertise. 13:36 🔄 Neutralize potential sales resistance by framing questions with neutral language and focusing on the end result. 16:57 🛠 Implement tweaks in your approach, such as adjusting tone and wording, to effectively engage prospects and build rapport. 18:47 💬 Avoid cliché rapport-building phrases and instead adopt a playful tone to maintain engagement and rapport.

selling apparently is just being a good chooser of words and being able to effectively communicate with the prospect about an end result. its interesting bc the more deliberate you are with your words and the more you practice it the better you'll get. i thought sales ppl had the IT factor but its becoming clear that its just about getting the reps in and thinking about the right words to choose when getting the chance to communicate with the prospect

Love your editing! those gunshot sounds when explaining what not to do in the beginning gave me a good laugh ! Also on one of your shorts you gave an example of how to build trust with a client, i memorized it and made it applicable to the sales job I was interviewing for, told him i came up with this technique to use on my future clients, sorry i plagarized LOL. The sales manager did the "not bad, not bad" face (downward facing mouth while nodding head), I also genuinely made him laugh two times and guess what ?! i GOT THE JOB!!!

🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:00 🤝 *Avoid using common, generic questions like "How's your day going?" as they lower your status in the prospect's eyes and make you seem like just another salesperson.* 03:27 🧠 *To build rapport effectively, focus on getting prospects into results-based thinking with your initial questions, making them view you as an expert or authority.* 07:50 ⚙️ *Tailor your initial questions to the specific end result of what you sell, whether it's better systems, lower bills, or higher quality leads, to engage prospects in results-based thinking.* 12:38 📞 *When cold-calling or dealing with leads who have been contacted by many others, use language like "just" to lower the prospect's guard and make your message seem less pressuring.* 17:38 ❄️ *In face-to-face HVAC sales appointments, frame your questions around the end result of your HVAC services, such as improving air circulation, to keep the prospect engaged in results-based thinking.* Made with HARPA AI

People aren’t the same in many ways. One difference is intro and extroversion. The extroverts are masters of small talk and may warm up to “how are you doing”. The introvert is typically bothered by small talk. Being your self should be a priority for everyone. Trying to control people(anyone) through conversation is not being yourself. Sales people are absolutely the easiest to persuade or manipulate because they want to participate. I scheduled memory training seminar by Kevin trueduau now in a federal prison. Smart people really thought they could increase sales with memory train.(hi Doug)
