Thanks for these Anthony. I really enjoy all your videos but this new format is by far the best. Being able to listen to your thought process as you're managing your trades makes a huge difference! Really looking forward to taking one of your courses. Thanks again!

I obviously don't have the information of a higher TF but just going from what I see, I don't understand why one would take a long entry. You had a VERY strong decisive push through the 12600 level and a corrective retest of the break (with a double top, I may add). You then buy the close of another strong bear candle. The trade worked out (this time) but that doesn't justify the trade being a good trade. I'm not looking for a fight but It always makes me wonder how many live trades educators record and how many they actually post, do they cherry pick/trade on a sim after the fact? I trade very much like yourself other than the use of MA's and lagging indicators and enjoy your content but I would appreciate you saying what made you take a counter trend trade into previous resistance.

Roy, thanks for your thoughts. On my trading timeframe (1 minute) the market was in an uptrend, making higher fractal highs and higher lows. The overall market at the time was ranging in big swings, this is a perfect climate for short term trend continuation trades. The double top you mention was identifiable as you say but it was tiny. It actually completed without reaching my stop (which is what I figured would happen). The rounds number level wasn’t a convincing resistance level. Round numbers tend to act like magnets in situations like this and after a big bear bar there often follows retaliation back into the magnet - exactly what occurred. We all have different methods Roy. The key is to find one that works for you. Best wishes and good trading.

How much money you put in this trade. You bought one contract of Dax?
@revmarketingm9746 жыл бұрын
This some great work, I've have been TRYING to trade the Dax for almost 8 months now but give back all profits. Ive used bollinger bands and RSI on 1m 5m and 15m time frames in the past. now trading on longer times. both with equal failures. I believe this approach works much better. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks RevMarketing m. They say that the Dax is the hardest market to trade on the short timeframes, so once you have cracked this market you should find all the others a doddle.

8 and 20 EMAs for Value. Plus candlestick patterns and higher timeframe for confluence.

You will not make money consistently like this. This has no edge whatsoever.. Secondly you are trading into the US cash open and you don't even mention it!! Crazy!
