[LIVE] Shiny Eevee after 25,723 soft resets in FireRed (DTQ #3)

Dream Team #3 obtained! Very happy to have finished this hunt as it went on for quite a while. I don't have the best of luck with summary screen hunts which is frustrating because they're my least favourite hunts to do. Either way, it's done and I'm very happy. I was gifted a beautiful shiny female Eevee. Eevee is similar to starters & fossils in sharing the same gender ratio. Females are the rare ones and I'm delighted!
Jolteon is an incredibly good Pokemon in Gen 3. I can't wait to take on the game with its Special Attack and Speed. I was really fearing a Special Attack reducing nature with this hunt but Quirky is nice and neutral.
Dratini is up next. Excited for that one.

Congrats! Shiny Eevee in FireRed and LeafGreen is just a beautiful one. It's Sprite is incredible cute! I hope your other hunts will be faster and the shinies will come under Odds. I'm at 16700 Random Encounters for Druddigon right now, this little Dragon seems to hide inside Dragonspiral Tower or something. It does not really like me xD

Currently hunting this on my DS lite, soft resets can be a pain but I got a little trick. I tape down my a and b buttons and have the button settings as L=A. This way you don't have to press 4 buttons at an awkward angle every time you reset! I don't recommend this if you care about your DS lite, but if it's old and pretty much broken (like mine) you probably don't care about potentially damaging your buttons a little. Good luck hunters!

Jolteon's such an underrated shiny. I know most people don't seem to fancy a lot of green shinies in earlier gens, and for very good reason due to a lot of them being so ugly, but Jolteon (Espeon as well) is 100% the exception. The energy drink-ish lime green fits it so well as an electric type. I also think it actually keeps getting better the higher the gen you go. Named mine mtn dew :)

I'm not a huge fan of these hunts too, but they are the best way to get Shiny Eevee in most cases. Also, I feel like Shiny Jolteon isn't one a lot of people like, and I used to be in that boat too but it's grown on me over time. The Volt Yellow colour looks great, especially in the sprite games.

Congratz! I'm hunting abra with coins in firered(4192 encounters so far). If i change my target and start buying porygons instead do I have to reset the encounters ?

Thank you! That's a good question. It depends who you ask. Personally I consider it a new hunt so I would restart. Some people would count it as Pokemon seen on that file. 2,000 Porygon seen & 3,000 seen for Abra for example if you switch target. It's up to you.
