If you don't want to kill them then you can just look at them or hear the sound go back to camp and then Jubilife and then go back to the area; this resets everything. Depending on the mon it's quite easy to get a ton of them at the same time. I did a full odds Teddiursa which was around 6 per minute and a half, and a Qwilfish with 10 per 3 mins. So it's not the hardest depending upon the Pokemon's spawn rate. Only thing is you can't double hunt.

Kinda figured my only other question is would you have to advance time and the head back to jubilife or just head back ?

@@rubenmonroy6579 Just head back to Jubilife. You don't have to sleep or anything at the camp. Though I usually sleep till morning to prevent Drifblim/Drifbloon from spawning and taking up the spawn locations.

You can also save in Jubilife and reset game if they aren't shiny then try again. Might be quicker.

Quick question. If you were to defeat them all in the morning, then go back to the moon view camp and sleep there until morning, would that affect the shiny chance? I noticed if you defeat them all, then sleep, all new ones will appear and be different levels and stuff. I have a perfect dex and the shiny charm, but no luck so far

Full odds nope, also depends on how many pokemon you knock out!

i caught shiny voltorb as well but in a mass outbreak i successfully caught the shiny but after a luxio made my character fall and the other voltorbs knocked me out but i got the shiny still

Did you reload to redo the same outbreak? Since you will keep getting the same pokemon with the same stats. There is 0% chance in this case, a shiny will pop up.
