[LIVE] Shiny Sudowoodo after only 360 SRs in Pokémon Crystal VC

Surprise! Didn't expect to find this, but here we are. Shiny Sudowoodo after only 360 SRs!
Honestly, I don't even know what to say. Just goes to show you should always be recording for even the most unexpected of shinies. And so now I have a very pretty pseudo tree for the holidays - think anyone will notice?

Congrats on the shiny! I just it on my crystal vc a few days ago! Took 3,400 resets! Compared to my HG version where I'm at 27k resets... And then I got my eevee at 203 resets!

So excited that you decided to hunt Sudowoodo! I definitely have a nostalgic soft spot for most gen 2 pokemon, but Sudo has always been one of my favourites! It seemed extra special to me as a kid since it was a one time only static encounter, it almost felt like a legendary! I've actually hunted gen 2 sudo 3 times because the first time I failed it, then after I reclaimed it I had my save wipe and I had to re-reclaim it!

I got mine after 50+ SR’s used gastly’s night shade 3 times to drop it to red bar then used hypnosis to make it go to sleep used a total of 3 poke balls to catch it.

I noticed that on some of my pokemon I got a lot of female sudowoodo, but when I switched to another first pokemon, I got at least 50% male... I think this is important to get the shiny faster since it must be male.

I recently found my crystal version and decided to do a shiny only run. I found my shiny Cyndaquil under 300 SR! Hopefully shiny Wooper decides to show up in a decent amount of time 😅

shiny hunting can take ages, i've been trying for magikarp on and off for a few months, currently at around 13000 encounters still no luck, sometimes you're just extremely unlucky

Btw i wanna ask, if im playing using emulator on phone device. Does quick save+quick load are counted as soft reset too? Cause each time i use quick load the stat/gender/hp also change for each quick load i do.

Was playing on an Emulator for Android today, and had no intentions of catching sudowoodo. Then on my first encounter it was shiny and I caught it 😂 glad it only took me 1 attempt instead of 360 😂
