I'd be curious what others' preferences are on Landscape vs. Portrait orientation for livestreams like this? I'm fine with the visual quality of the stream but my own pref is landscape because I'm usually watching these sorts of things via my telly or a PC monitor. Also, I wonder if there's a way to mux the audio from PC with the video live, so there's more control over the ratio room sound to direct from amp/amp sims/guitar interface etc. etc. I think some other guitar YT channels have figured it out but I'm not sure how myself. Anyhow, long post, but WOW, what a great fluid player! Longtime fan. Nice to see the Polychrome DSP stuff get some love here. A lot of players missing out because they get a little hung up on wanting to simulate specific branded amps and effects exclusively, and the Polychrome DSP stuff isn't exactly that (although Nunchuch ~is~ "inspired" by Marshall JCM800). I'm as guilty as anyone else: sometimes brand familiarity is only way we know how to communicate a tone we're after (That Mesa Boogie MKII sound, that Peavey 5150 sound, etc.) But great tone is great tone, regardless of how we describe it. If it sounds good, it ~is~ good right? The Blue Cat Audio plugins sort of fall into this category too. Underrated. The McRocklin suite is nice for anyone that likes those greasy 80's tones layered with nice verbs and modulation effects, the cleans especially are really nice. I'm not shilling for this stuff btw lol. I just like to see players not get trapped in that real amp vs. amp sim debate and simply play the tones and gear that inspire them. We all tone chase a bit I think, but it's easy to fall into that "That doesn't sound ~exactly~ like my favorite amp therefore it's trash" hole. Cheers and shred on!
