Just watched all your videos on how make a mix got to say you’ve changed my mind on waves sound grid and looking forward to talking to my worship leader on how to we can use our grid to make our sound awesome and simpler for our volunteers, making both our FOH system look just about the same as our waves broadcast mixer (if that makes sense)

Crowd mic was picking up PA, didn’t hear any crowd. Using them just to capture some ambience? I use 6 mics (3L, 3R. 4 shotgun and 2 boundary blended in. They all focus on a different part of the congregation.

Yeah they weren’t really singing here. It was an alter call moment after service ended. The tracks themselves and “audio examples” were just thrown up into the file really quick in order to film. I literally didn’t even listen to them or work on it. This is meant to convey the big picture and not the details of a mix. Usually if the crowd is in and singing nice that’s really all you will hear. Crowd mics rule!

have you used waves clarity on vocals yet for the live environment?
@thepowerplaceproduction2 жыл бұрын
It’s not compatible with sound grid yet.

Elaborate please, I’m confused by the question.

Thanks for the videos man. Is that song you are mixing in the video from a particular service?

It sounds amazing but it’s so painful to see the master level clipping all the way…4:23 ouch !!!
@thepowerplaceproduction2 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! I want to clarify. There is a limiter on the mixbus and the mix is peaking at -2.0dbfs. That channel is solo’d so that’s what you see on the meters. (That’s what I use in my headphone/IEM’s) There is no clipping happening. This desk has 3 red lights on it as you approach 0dbfs and you can see the top one is off if you look closely.
