Where could I find the best source that explains about signal routing of live sound and mixing with plugins?

If I could only have 1 plug in, it would be the Waves RComp.

Every Ozzy concert I have been to sounded muddy and low as hell. Like someone turned off the mids and the treble. Almost as if to cover vocal mistakes or other other issues. Seen him 3 times...same sucky audio. Sounds good here on you tube however.

this is very typical of foh engineers who are not systems techs themselves. think of the PA!!! line array theory has gone so far in giving hi fidelity sound. when l'acoustics developed V dosc, the pa game was forever changed. their design hasn't changed in 15 years. Meyer, d&b, countless other pa makers have followed suit to their design.. who gives a shit if you use an api2500 or an ssl channel plug in comparred to stock digital plug ins, its the PA that has changed, not the desks
