Thanks Youthman. I learned a lot, especially about line source speakers that I never knew about before. I am going to have to put these type of speakers on my wish list.

Would you ever consider line source speakers?

I’m not looking to upgrade anytime soon but I would certainly be open to it.

How does a line array differ from electrostatics? I hear that Martin Logan’s don’t drop in the Same way that point source speakers do
@sussybaka71983 жыл бұрын
youth man how did you get the cinescope screen it so hard to find cinescope screen
@Youthman3 жыл бұрын
Google Seymour Center Stage XD. I ordered the fabric and we made the screen
@robcohen3 жыл бұрын
Could you elaborate on how the line arrays were more immersive than point source speakers? Never heard them. Sounds interesting. Is the sound source more diffuse? Tight horizontally but not vertically? Hearing less of the room?
@Youthman3 жыл бұрын
What I was trying to explain is how much more immersive Alex’s system is than mine is. The bottom bed layer feels like you are completely surrounded with audible information with very distinctive Atmos effects.
@robcohen3 жыл бұрын
@@Youthman interesting. Is it imaging better? Do you have gaps? Are you less able to localize the speakers?
@robcohen3 жыл бұрын
@@Youthman do you mean that you have gaps in your speaker coverage? Alex's system is imaging better for some reason? Speakers harder to localize? Just curious.
@Youthman3 жыл бұрын
Imaging is done with your front soundstage. Mine is excellent for that. I’m referring to his surrounds and Atmos speakers. His are much better placed than mine and frankly, MUCH more capable than my surround and Atmos speakers.
@robcohen3 жыл бұрын
@@Youthman thanks for the clarification! I appreciate it! (Good imaging is absolutely a concern with surround speakers, though. It's fundamental to object-based 3D sound.)
@MichaelGreco3 жыл бұрын
Having a hard time finding pricing for systems like Alex. It's looks like the front stage speakers are about 10K a piece in the surrounds 5K? Am I correct in that or way off?
@bigcoupe2003123 жыл бұрын
I would definitely recommend contacting wisdom audio and speaking with a dealer near you for pricing.

@@bigcoupe200312 Hey Alex, I figured as much based on limited research. Were the Tesla and/or Taycan yours? Awesome cars. In Southern California there's Tesla's everywhere and they love to initiate a race with my C7 Z06.
@bigcoupe2003123 жыл бұрын
@@MichaelGreco yes both the Tesla and Taycan are mine. Very funny Tesla owners love to show their speed!
@MichaelGreco3 жыл бұрын
@@bigcoupe200312 Yep! I just wish most of them would show more of the usual etiquette which is a simple thumbs up and smile lol My car is is not exactly a straight line car in non perfect conditions, it's a manual plus for safety reasons I need the tires warm. A different animal. From a dig it's very hard to get them off the line, but depending on which model of Tesla I have a stronger top end. So from a roll or if we have enough road I can get them. Over a hundred I'll walk away, but unless I have to perfect launch I can just spend the tires all the way through first gear LOL

Regenerative transmission line? I think not. What you’re describing is a tapped horn.
