I would like to ask if you all could try out a software called Apple Music Converter or any other ones to remove the DRM from the music on the Apple Music streaming service. It seems kind of sketchy and I would hope you have a laptop or desktop dedicated to trying stuff out. If you can't see "DDJ-400 WASAPI : MASTER + Speakers (VB-Audio Virtual Cable)" in the master output, make sure output audio to computer is checked and it should appear in the master output drop down :)

There is a function in rekordbox that lets you output sound through normal drivers as well - so there is really no need to get any extra software other than obs.

I used to use sound flower in a similar way on my mac but it was a pain to get working consistently. In the end I bit the bullet and bought a behringer 220 soundcard for £20 and teamed it with a ground loop isolator running from my master out. Much less hassle and well worth the £25 spent

Great hint to use a virtual cable rather than a wired connection from the Master back to the computer. I have one question: does this work also with a microphone connected to the DJ Controller? I am wondering if the master output is directly taken from the Rekordbox software but the microphone input from the controller will be missing?

Just the DJ Decks are routed via. USB. So no Mic, or if you own a DDJ-1000 for example, the channel 3 and 4 are also not routed back.

PASNAMIC Music I fixed it. Gotta be in performance mode, make sure it’s all plugged in then drag a tune into the decks on rekordbox and play it. Go back to the options and see if the tick box has appeared. If it does, tick it then it’ll probably complain about the buffer. March the buffer up step by step until it stops disallowing you from ticking the box. Then it should be sweet

Hi the microphone should work fine if you plug it directly into your controller. Works in windows and sounds pretty decent. Regards

this is so amazing!!! I have scoured the internet as well as every electronic store in a 100 mile radius for a TRRS to TRS adapter to record from my phone with no luck. This is so much easier! My only question is do you have to use the laptop's camera when using this method or is is possible to use an ipad/phone to record the video portion while using blackhole for the audio?

On the current versions of rekordbox, (7.0.2 and 7.0.3) the settings look very different. For example the part when you need to check "output audio from the computer's built-in speakers and..." checkbox doesn't exist. The corresponding checkbox is "use monaural for Master Output and Headphones Output" but I'm not sure if they're the same thing or not. Also the drop down setting that's talked about shortly after isn't available in the settings of the current version either

This is such a waste of time here is how to do it very easily: 1. Download OBS 2. hook up your deck with usb to your computer 3. set the microphone in the mic properties of obs as whatever your deck is called (it should come up in a drop down menu) 4. Get the stream key of your platform and put it into OBS Will be making a video on this soon on a DJ channel of mine, will edit this comment with link to the video once uploaded.

The 1000 only routes the two decks back to the computer. So you can't get any of the other channels (3,4, mic) to the computer that way. :( I got myself a Behringer U-Control UCA222 (UCA202 is the same but different color) USB Adapter for around 20-25 bucks and use this to capture everything from the DDJ-1000. Solves all issues and works nice.

@@Dj-MurZo your background speakers shouldnt get through onto the stream. This hack is to prevent that from happening. Also, depending on your streaming source, it’ll disable the microphone to allow input for the VB or BlackHole mixer

There is no sound coming through into OBS from the mic channel on the DDJ 1000. It comes through in the LED meter on the DDJ 1000, and also in Rekordbox in the master record, but not in OBS. The other channels playing into the master come through into OBS. Any idea?

The mics on smaller controllers don't route through their mixers sadly. I can only suggest running a USB mic into OBS sadly.

I have a ddj200 and this solution won't work completely, since this controller doesn't have any headphone out, so I have to connect the phone to the Mac output by using the provided split cable. In this way it's impossible to monitor the cue, cause I hear the master output only. Any suggestions?

I'm facing an issue regarding the tick box when I open rekordbox audio settings. even tho I enabled blackhole as a sound output on Audio MIDI Setup, the audio box in rekordbox settings is showing either blackhole or MacBook speakers options and not DDJ 200 (the controller I am currently using) such as the video shows as well. additionally, the tick box shows a different description (use monaural for master output and headphone output) than the one showing in the video. much appreciated for your help

Hello! Thanks for the video. However I have a problem. Just a preface to this video: Does BlackHole work with DJ Pro AI? I use DJ Pro AI, and I am not trying to livestream, just simply record my sets. I downloaded BlackHole and followed all the steps, switching audio output on my MIDI SETUP and then going to DJ PRO AI and switching main output to BlackHole as well. But I can't hear the music from my studio speakers?? My computer is auxed in to my speakers but I am purely wondering if its because I use DJ PRO AI that I can't make the sound work from my studio speakers..?? Please help, I feel like I am so close to nailing this..

You'd need one thats iOS compatible. So Roland GO:Mixer, iRig Stream, Evemix Box 4 ect. Not the Focusright sadly!
