This historian needs to be tought more. A method of producing unsweetened evaporated milk was developed by John B. Myenberg in 1883.Feb 1, 2003  Contemporary Pediatrics A concise history of infant formula (twists and turns included) In 1885, evaporated milk was manufactured commercially for the first time.  Duke University Evaporated Milk Association collection, 1924-1934, 1939-1967

I remember visiting Gettysburg as a child with my parents and siblings while on vacation back in the mid 1960's. The things that I remember most are the Eisenhower farm, the Cyclorama, and a live fire demonstration of a CW Era musket. Also staying overnight in a small cabin.

I love to see the young people right up front, totally where I would be if I were their age -- boys AND girls, I might add! And maybe later on, like myself, they'll find it hard to sleep with a head full of history.
