you explained all your techniques very well and told us of other options as well. The dish turned out very nice indeed. Thanks a lot.

Colwin, thanks very much for that upload. The shape of that dish is lovely and the figure on the Teak adds to it. Oh yeah, and your turning isn't bad either... :) :) :). I'm really intrigued, I wonder if you would do one of these lives and show us how quickly you could turn one of these projects from start to finish if you didn't have to natter to us guys. I think it would be fascinating to watch.

WHAT THE BEST RESIN TO USE ON BOWLS.

Hi Colwin. In regard to the finishing oil, doesn't that take a very long time to dry? so will be tacky to touch and attract dust/finger marks etc while you're turning the other side?
@axminster4 жыл бұрын
Hi Ben, the following reply is from Colwin - "It takes about six hours to cure but about an hour to dry. It does attract dust, but this can be burnished off when you oil the front of the bowl." I hope this helps :)

Hi Colwyn does the speed sizer work for other makes of jaws like record power?.
@axminster4 жыл бұрын
Hi Les, unfortunately, the speed size will only work with Axminster jaws.

First of all, i want to thank you both for your wonderful Videos. As there are many , many People in Germany that use a Axminster Lathe ( included me ^^) , is there any chance to get german Subtitles one Day ?

Instead of using a face plate ring, you might want to the Amy Griggs spike plate. Since I have neither I am thinking of going the spike plate route. kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZOVdadni75mhaM
