Double dipping is my biggest bugbear. Advertising on free-to-air TV is acceptable. The audacity of showing ads on a paid service is not. Sheer greed, that's all it is.

Totally agree... people keep dropping expensive services so they have to get the $$ from the suckers who are willing to pay. Solution: drop prices or lose customers I've been on third party app for 8 yrs..will never go back to paying those insane prices !

It’s funny that the paying customers don’t know how much power they have. If the entire viewing population would cancel all their tv subscriptions, cable,satellite, etc for several months could you imagine the money these companies would lose. I would give up my tv for a few months if it makes these fat cats lower their prices. Of course I know this would never happen but it’s a great dream. 😈

Got rid of cable, went to streaming, and now don't have none. Ssshh! torrenting is the way to go! I saw this coming years ago with streaming services. They pull you in the start jacking up the montly subscriptions. They are just as much as cable now.

Sky stream does not transmit "live", it carries around a 40 second delay. I tried it when it came out and was talking to a friend at the same time as watching a match and he screamed "GOAL" and I seen it about 40 seconds later, so off it went back to Sky.

Now living in Thailand where you can get live football and movies for around £20 a month. Was paying £80 a month for sky and would have been another £20 for BT sports, now TNT, obscene amount, put other streaming services on top of that £150 minimum

I have a question about apps... The apps you can download on the phone can you download them on to a Roku or fire stick.. I have a few apps where I can watch movies that right after they come out I just watched the wicked and I was hoping that I can get the download to put on my TV

Be careful What you "download". Your ISP knows what you download and may come after you for copywrited material. Watching is perfectly legal in the US but "downloading" is illegal. IF it's available on the internet, it's watchable. Actually downloading it may bring the police aknockin' at your door . . .

@@leonardh8269 yes for most of the "good" apps you have to enable side loading. Anything that's not available through Amazon has to be side loaded which is the real term of jailbreaking an android based device.

@leonardh8269 it's called side loading. Apple products need to have a process that's referred to as jailbreaking. I believe roku can have apps side loaded but finding install files for roku is near impossible and is much more difficult to do

The more of these cable and streaming companies continue to take one down another four will pop up they're playing whack-a-mole . And there's a simple reason regular streaming is too expensive it was supposed to be a cheaper alternative. But as it got popular the prices started going up and people started looking for cheaper ways to stream. This is how we got gray Market streaming.
