I have this scale for about half a year now, and it works great. It is one of the few scales that fit between the Cafelat Robot legs. I never use the automatic functions, but it can be usefull to people who measure from first drip instead of starting pressure of pouring. One of the 'quirks' I have with it, is that it turns itself on if I move it around. It detects some weight because of that so it turns on. I now always turn it off with the button, and that should probably also let it keep it's charge longer. I had several other cheap scales for my Robot and they always died pretty fast because of liquid damage, this feels like it can withstand much longer, but I wont be unsatisfied if it will only keep up for a year or two, because it is pretty cheap.

The Nom setting is pourover right? I have a similar scale branded Fuego, very very similar but slightly different. Program is M1 and M2 instead of Nom and Esp. Wondering if the programing the same or not. The M2 progarm for espresso on mine seems ok. The problem I have with the M1 pourover mode is that if I lift the dripper to shake the coffee bed, it will automatically stop, It won’t pause and let me restart, it will just display results including brew ratio, time, grounds in, water in for maybe 3-5 seconds then everything back to 0. Won't even hold results for 1min or 30 secs to let me note it down or take a pic. Only give me 3-5 secs. I've tried pushing and tapping the dripper to simulate stirring with a spoon and this I think is fine, it won’t stop the program. But once you lift up maybe at least 100g from the setup, the program immediately stops then ends. Want to ask if the pourover mode is the same here for Tiny2s. I'd want to be able to lift and shake my dripper during the pourovers. I actually don’t care much about being told what my brew ratio came out to be, since mine only tells me at the end. But this M1 program of mine is helpful in starting the timer automatically when I start my bloom. Annoyingly I think I need to lift part to the weight to stop the timer in this mode. I can’t manually stop the time. Pressing T or power button, just beeps but seems to do nothing once timer of pourover mode has started.

I've had this scale for four months now and it works great for me. It does require weekly charging though, for me. Otherwise, no complaints. Way better than my neo weigh and generic scales from walmart.

It would be great to see a comparison with the timemore nano.

Have the same scale - use it with my flair 58. It is a bit tricky if it is sitting on the rubber mat but very stable if I remove the tray and have it on a flat surface. And I find that I sometime end I a fancy mode by mistake. But not a big issue.

This SearcPean was my first coffee scale. And I would say it was great!!! I got that right at first. Yes, it died last week, or should I say I finally killed it underwater lol. Yes, I was rinsing it all the time and at some point, I was so aggressive that the water entered the internals and did mess up the scale. 100% my fault! You know, sometimes we hear/read what we want to see. And for whatever reason I thought those scales were water proof. But I just checked and not even this Acaia is waterproof. They're all very similar in that regard. well, someone would have to risk their 250 usd scale to let us know if it's more water-resistant than others lol. Not going to happen, right! Haha! And IMO, no, those cheaper scales from Amazon won't get the job done bc they will die very fast with coffee dropping right on top of the buttons. Right now, this SearchPean is usd30 on Aliexpress. All that said, I want to try something else. I see a similar scale to Acaia Lunar on Ali, it's about usd75. No Bluetooth but who cares for that lolo. I don't even care about the aluminum body. But for the speed and the battery size. That SearchPean was good but not great in both aspects. I had cheaper scales from Ali and they were much much slower and the battery would not last over a week. Just terrible. Right now, looking at Aliexpress. I see this plastic version of the Felicia scale. Sounds very interesting at usd24. And that other that looks like the Acaia Lunar. USd 24 vs 75. Or the newer SearchPean for usd30. But I'm looking toward the acaia looking one lol. So many scales, great time to waste some money on this hobby lol.

I agree, Hoon-man - scales are out of control. I have the Acaia Lunar and also the Pearl, one for each station, espresso and pour-over. The Search Pean is very similar to the one that Flair Espresso sells. I have that one also, but giving that one away. I enjoy your content… I would like to catch more in real time. Stay well!
