For low latency clean vocals used a combination of Waves W43 and Waves WNS

Mixing is really like cooking, some might like their food a bit spicy while others will add some hot sauce. I say this because I was intrigued by your EQ choice, instead of boosting you’re cutting (I suspect the mic choice is quite bright live or you add it back in your console?) In any case, great video, also enjoyed the Ableton one.

Absolutely! The cooking analogy is pretty spot on. In general I started mixing in a live setting and have always felt more comfortable doing cuts rather than boosts a lot of the time just for feedback safety, but if you can get there faster with boosts I say go for it! The audio you heard was directly from the mic, so yes it also was on the brighter side to start. It was a Beta 87a if you’re curious.

It looks like you use a F6 for high pass filter and another F6 for EQ, what’s the reason of using two instead of having them together in one? And will it make any difference if I have the pitch correction at the very beginning of the chain instead of last?

Can someone help me understand which is best for live singing to downloaded cover music … if using Logic pro with for example Audient ID 14 mkll as I have bought for recording but also use this set up for live events or if I am better off to buy for example the voice processor Boss VE-22 that I am looking into right now… Do I need that too? I have a question regarding waves tune real-time. I think I discovered an undocumented feature that isn’t getting talked about. If you right click the LINK button, you’ll see a LEARN option. Do you have any idea what that does? It does actually seem to improve pitch correction, and my guess is that waves tune is analyzing the singers pitchyness. Thanks 🎉

I’m fairly certain the learn function is related to being able to assign a button to a midi controller. As in you could have it “learn” which midi note is assigned to that button to be able to more quickly control the plugin

The DAW I'm mixing in is Logic Pro X, but you could do this in any DAW. I intentionally only used Waves plugins though so that if you use SuperRack in a live setting you can use this specific chain of plugins.
