I'd run some kersene through it to clean it out. Then run some oil through it!! Some PB or auto trans fluid in the jugs.

Hi! My name is Don Giglio (Jill-Leo) and this is how you say my name. But anyway I have been watching your video's for a while and wanted to let you know how much I love what you and your dad do together and how well you do it. I'm 75 years old I spent 16 years in the Marines and after that I did body work, drove tractor trailers and tri-axel dump trucks. And built old trucks for car shows. So I know just what you guys go through when you get a junk car or truck. Been there done that. Well anyway I just wanted to say HI!! Keep up the great work.

I don't know if I'm the only one that thinks this but it's not a rush when you have something as what you're trying to do there it does take time it's the effort that you put into it that makes it worthwatch so take your time figure it out make it work don't break it with what you have is worth money
@dariandareyawasmer60744 жыл бұрын
Throw the other motor in it, bed with rails... A ramp on the back would be perfect. But to be quite honest I'd probably throw the motor from the white one into the one at the other shop. Get one runnin at least. (I'd probably get rid of the middle axle on this one too, she'd look better.) Thanks for the show guys!

@walterrobbins44703 жыл бұрын
On a stuck motor, the best thing to add with trying to turn the engine over is vibration. I’m not talking about using an impact wrench. A weak air hammer rattling around at different locations on the block will often get things to let go.
@CajunGreenMan4 жыл бұрын
I was there the whole time and enjoyed it. Would still like to see the engine broken free at least. I suspect too much will have to be done to it and too many parts replaced to make it worthwhile getting running before you sell it. Keep up the great work!

one tip ive used when an engine is sitting for longtime is to dismount all sparkplugs empty all oil if any put back the drainplug then fill the engine upp with diesel and spray all moving parts with diesel even fill the cylinderhead thru spakplug holes with diesel and let it stay a day or two then start to turn i around with a tool. it worked with success every time for me. love to put old engines back to life. ( funny just when i wrote the tip of diesel you are doing it. )

Toilet bowl cleaner , LRC ,, meuratic acid in small amounts mixed with a bit of water ,, white vinegar . stuff with mild acidic properties but also strong enuff to dissolve rust and scale deposits .. Cleans cylinder walls,, pistons and rings . dissolves carbon and aluminum corrosion .. then let soak a coupla hours depending on strength of solutions .

Many years ago when the world was young and the BMW Issetta was current in Europe we took one of the standard close coupled four wheeled ones. Counted as three wheelers for tax and registration purposes that way. Removed the standard single cylinder engine set up and fitted a Triumph 650 twin, it looked basically standard still from outside. Hell of a thing to drive and surprised many souped up cars away from stop lights etc.. Eventually the obvious happened and it destroyed itself totally. Driver and passenger survived somehow.

The 55 BMW is still a very well known vehicle here in Melbourne Australia and for you guys that have one that has been modified with a VW rear end makes it more interesting and I am sure that you guys will make it a running vehicle.
