Thank you for this song. I came from an abusive family, by my Dad. My Mother was dying in ICU when this song was popular and came on the radio. I had always hoped I would have the time to get to know her. I always planned in my heart that my Dad would be the one to die first, but it wasn't happening and I just wished we could run away somewhere and get the chance to know each other before she died. Comfort of life, having your parents alive to rely on seems like such a simple thing, but when it's gone a part if you dies too. This song is almost 20yrs old, which means I'm twice the age. I only just discovered it several years ago here in Los Angeles on the radio. Yes, the RADIO. AND some of the best local stations continue keeping this in rotation. Such a great timeless song. I absolutely love watching live performances to see not just the artist perform, but to witness the pure enjoyment and the singing along from the audience.
