no shit. If there's one thing about rock and roll and people who spout their bullshit comments, is when they're talking about something or some singer didn't do it right, or is just doesn't seem right. Just shut the fuck up! The guy is singing the song in HIS own voice and style! If you don't like it just move on to the next video! Jesus Christ what do you think this guy is going to try to sound and act just like Zack!?! No. Why would he do that?! But yet these idiots feel like commenting about how it just doesn't seem right, or I don't like the way Cornell did this blah blah blah blah damn give it a rest!

@@WillyJaheruddin Zack's voice and style are just completely different, it's true. But I feel like there are far too many commenters on this video who don't even know how well suited Chris was to the nature of RAtM. Look up the song "Gun" from _Louder Than Love,_ recorded in 1989. I've been working on a project lately, and in researching I have been blown away and gratified to learn that they played it live from the time it was released right through to 2015. This was not a single. It was not a thing anyone but their true fans loved and waited for. That Chris kept wanting to sing it tells me he still felt that way, never stopped. And _that_ is the dude who joined the guys from Rage.

I had the privilege of seeing Audioslave live once. Out of the VERY many concerts I've been to, Audioslave was one of my top two, easily! It was my only time seeing Chris Cornell live and he was absolutely amazing!!! Seeing Audioslave live was like 5 concerts in one: Audioslave (of course), Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, Rage Against the Machine, and a couple of Chris Cornell's solos. The last song they played the night I saw them live was Killing in the Name and they brought the house down! Chris will always hold a special place in my heart with that voice.

Nah it’s coz the singing style is too different, get a rapper and he will come much closer. I know the poet and singer distinction - artists like Johnny cash and willow Nelson are very poetic while Whitney Houston and Celine dion are note making machines. Chris Cornell is def poet type that can hit mean notes. I mean Chris Cornell with bunch of other grunge artists kicked off a new era, succeeding the glam rockers and how all of the modern alternative rock came to be

Because it's a multi band major public event with artists as diverse as Chris Deburgh (Lady in Red), Brian Wilson (The Beach Boys), Katherine Jenkins (British Opera singer) to Audioslave and Green Day.... So a lot of people standing there probably weren't even fans of rock music. Some people were probably just there to be able to say they were there and didn't care about the music much. Also it was an all day event so a lot of the people in the field had probably been stood there for hours.

I was a kid when Layne Staley died so I never saw him perform, but I did see DuVall perform live and based on the recordings of the original AIC lineup live concerts DuVall cant compare to Layne. *I think William DuVall is a huge mistake. I can see why AIC chose him as their new frontman, but there are ALOT of individuals who could fill Laynes shoes much better. (The youtuber, Robert Lundgren is one of them)

Look at how beautiful the vibes were at that time... the trees, the weather, people's casual clothes, people enjoying music, and good bands at their best, really the 2000s that we miss

Chris was the greatest loss ever in the world of music. Many greats have passed in my time, but never has anyone impacted me more than brother Chris. I cried like a little bitch....love you bro!! May your words resound forever.

My Brother gave his life in Afghanistan as a Royal Marine, Corporal Robert Robert Deering, We’re fully aware to the consequences of our actions, be informed, be literate, no compromise, always endeavour to find the truth, no matter who dictates you. The Royal Marines served us proudly, We lost a Brother. We lost Damo, with two shots to the chest, my brother was an IED, It’s the way it goes, it’s a bitter pill, remember, life is worth living, so bite down on it.
