Whats also funny is that Terra itself is basically a death world in a pretty dress. When Ragnar Blackmane gets a assigned to the Island of the Navigators, the first thing he learns is that behind the pretty buildings and gardens is that almost everything either conceals weapons, lethal automated traps, every skyscraper homes an imperial guard regiment and even "civilian" veheciles could probably give a landraider a run for its money - and thats the surface, Terra's underhive is even worse than Necromunda. (Even the Skaven live there tho in 40k there considered ann urban myth lol)

@@Sara3346 can't remember the name but it's from one of the horus heresy books basically a handful of thunder warriors who survived the purge went in hiding and took over the nascent organized crime empire of holy terra unfortunately they were slowly dying out anyway since their genetic modifications we're degrading their bodies and minds eventually near the end of the book the leader of these thunder warrior godfathers got it hand on a dead marine, extracted the gene-seeds from it and injected on himself the implication being that the gene-seeds stopped the degradation

Actually a really cool video on colonizing Venus by a guy named Issac Arthur. Basically at a certain level in the clouds the temperature is very moderate and the pressure is around an atmosphere. The atmosphere protects much better than Mars against solar radiation. Would have colonies floating in the clouds with the equivalent of wetsuits with oxygen tanks to go outside but would be well protected.

Not strange. It fits a certain personality type. It's because in their mind it's about the parents not the children. A child's succes that can make them independent and thus can make them leave which is a threath to the parents. They want either a specific thing for the child Or simply want the child to remain with them. To control and abuse said child, parents profit. There are some very twisted people out there and unfortunately some are parents. And yes some people litteraly live on other people's anxiety, pain and misery. Hi! Just now discovered your channel by this video, and it makes me happy that there are still good lore channels on KZbin I haven’t found yet. I would put Venus above Jupiter as number 1 on the list due to the one thing you forgot that makes a huge difference for quality of life: sunlight. The sun is 4 times smaller from Jupiter and can be eclipsed by the planet itself. I would also put saturn higher on the list for this reason, maybe in the number 4 or 3 spot.

Controlling parents…such “fond” memories. I had to grow up with them and it gave me a lot of bad experiences for my childhood. Now that I’m an adult the power dynamic has completely shifted. If the topic ever comes up I regularly call them out on the shite they did to me as a kid and they mostly try to justify themselves or gaslight but I Never let them get away with it. Although it may not sound like it but do still love them for the good they’ve done. Looking back on my parents as an adult I realize how flawed and human they are and I lament the fact that such incompetent people made my childhood and teenage years so miserable.

I would guess the “Squat Warp Coils” the Mechanicum were experimenting with on Ganymede were some kind of warp engine components recovered from “Squats” encountered during the Crusade. “Squats” being the old name for the Leagues of Votann. The Votann “kin” are essentially a race of abhumans who use a nearly complete base of human STC technology. So these “Warp Coils” would not really be taboo Xenos technology, but ancient human technology derived from an STC, which is right up the Mechanicus’ alley… Except that clearly it didn’t go so well since it was warp-related. Despite being humans, The Leagues of Votann are considered Xenos because for one, they are not aligned with the Imperium, and two, they are lead by extremely powerful AI “Ancestor Cores,” which are heretical “machine intelligences” in the Imperium’s eyes.

Inquisition or Astartes ships with a skillled navigator can translate close to a planet. I would assume it stands for the Mechanicus too. The Inquisition has vat grown people work for them who are programmed and mind wiped regularly. In older, better lore, before the Horus Heresy novels were churned out like industrial waste, Charon was an Imperial shrine world with an oracle. Also if you make a video on the solar system, look up how to pronounce the names.
