I used to feel like everything was hopeless and lie around in bed and wallow in it all day like the world's biggest as$hole. Then I started watching this channel. And one day I got out of bed and thought, "I'm not going to live like a pathetic, negative slug anymore." Now my dog and I walk several miles a day. I try to go out to one public place a day, which can be kind of a struggle for me sometimes. I make an effort to do one kind thing a day, even if it's just smiling at a stranger. And I'm celebrating my birthday for the first time in 10 years this weekend -- with a party -- instead of just ignoring it like I've always done. So thank you, Emily and Aisha. This channel is where I learned how to make the most of each day and live in joy, even when it feels like everything sucks. This channel made me want to get out of my house and live my life and be around people again. This channel has done more for me than a boatload of therapists has ever done. And it all started with just watching a few of these videos and then thinking, "I'm gonna get out of bed and go for a walk." I don't stay in bed all day anymore. And everything in my head feels so much better now. I don't have enough words to thank you. I love you guys. ❤

Both my surgeon and oncologist told me that they- and most of the colleagues they had discussed this with- would only take pain relief if they were given a terminal diagnosis. They said they have seen too many people spend their precious last few months/weeks in and out of hospital instead of enjoying being with family at home. Such a personal decision, and some people’s will to live is so strong in them they want to try everything. All I know so that I was offered just surgery, or surgery followed by chemo and radiotherapy. I chose the latter- couldn’t finish the treatment as I had a toxic reaction but I am blessed to be here 6 yrs later.

Its heartbreaking to think she only had a month left at this stage.... as a dad of girls Em's age I can't stop myself welling up looking at these later vlogs... wouldn't it absolutely destroy you to see your precious child slipping away before your eyes and you powerless to prevent it? I think about Em's parents and family and the saddest that they carry. Live is so unjust.

This is scary. She's so lively despite the pain, up and about..just goes to show, cancer can turn on you with no warning. My mom died of lung cancer. Once it spread to her brain and liver, she was gone within weeks. Cherish the time you have, is the lesson. ❤

Your positivity is amazing. Please try not to be upset by what I am going to say. It is amazing to see you so positive. But in your eyes, I see the worry, there is stress. It is OK to talk it through it with us-it doesn't make you any less positive. It is not a sign you aren't living life to the fullest. As you face this, you are bound to start having some very different thoughts/perspective. I encourage you to talk those through-say them out loud. You are a beautiful person, and Aisha is a living angel-it is refreshing to see such thoughtful kind human being.

I cannot tell you how much of an inspiration you are to me. You exhale positivity from every pore, and I say this knowing you had your ups and downs and talked about them. If you have a bad day, it seems like you feel it, you give yourself a break from positivity, you let your humanity show, and then you get back to that state of just serenity, of living THAT day, ONE day at the time, like "today was bad? Tomorrow's going to be much better" You are an inspiration to all. I wish i could meet you, Emily. Lots of love.

I have been following you for only a few months but just have to say you are both such an inspiration. Your courage and bravery through all the medical adversities thrown your way is humbling. Please don't under-estimate the power of your positivity and your unfailing ability to press on regardless. Throughout my childhood I fought against recurring abdominal tumours. Thankfully I won that fight but it was at times a lonely battle. Your vlogging will mean SO much to many people, especially those also fighting cancer. I hold both you and Aisha in my prayers and thank you for being such and comfort and inspiration to many. Keep strong and lean on each other and you will find comfort and strength. None of us know how long our lives will be and you continuously show how to live every day to it's fullest. Long may that continue. God bless you and keep you and give you His Shalom (Peace.) xx

Diana Murray no, not excessive at all, from a medical point. And she is doing the right thing by elevating. My intention isn't to make her feel bad, I won't lie to her either. I adore an respect her. I guess I am literal. No, they are far from grossly swollen. I forget the age differences, so, I will keep that in mind when I comment.

K Butler I agree her ankles were swollen as Emily mentioned. I don’t think you were being rude by being honest. Emily is an expert when it comes to her own body and knows it better than anyone. She even said they were swollen, and knowing her body, was almost sure she knew what was the reason was behind it. You were only giving your comment as it was obvious you never meant them fat. Gawd some people are just to eager to point the finger. Damed if you do and damed if you don’t lol. 🙄😬🤗

Hey Emily, I can see how hard it is for you to have to cut down on the gym work, but remember....it's only temporary, and you'll be back there in no time. Looks like Aisha has converted you to a Wagamama's fan too. Today I used you as a source of inspiration for something that I find challenging....nothing as serious as what you are tackling.....but something I've struggled with. I went on a date with a new man (I'm no spring chicken....58 years young.....an still an amateur at this relationship dating, men/women stuff).......BUT thought,if Emily can tackle the equivalent of The Great wall of China, I can bite the bullet and try jumping the garden fence. Just keeping you in mind was a great help. While I say that, I want you to remember you are not vlogging to help us ( even though you and Aisha are doing a spectacular job there) WE are here for YOU!!!! We are here to support you, to care for you, to pray for you, to be your cheer squad. Make sure YOU remain your No. 1 focus Take care my dear....and big "dog snorkies" (kisses ans love from dogs) to you. From Carol in Melborne Australia...Eddie the dog, and of course, Patchy the cat.

Emily and Aisha...I just stumbled on your vlog recently. I've become such a fan of both of you! I admire and love the strength, positivity and honesty you show. I also follow another person who has stage 4 colon cancer. Like you, she has such amazing, positive outlook. Her wife is, like Aisha, an incredibly supportive person. I'm an endometrial cancer survivor and by all accounts, I had it much easier than you do but I'd like to think that if I ever find myself in that position again, I could handle it with as much strength as you all do. So glad it seems it's irritation and not growth of the tumor. I agree with Aisha to take it easy Em. If you feel you must go to the gym maybe take the weights down and just do light reps too. We all are sending back Positive Thoughts and Prayers for you. ❤️

Emily, You are one strong lil" cookie. I just lost a sister in law to gilablastoma in February, she left my brother with 30 yrs of marriage, and moved back in with her parents. She lost so much of life by doing that, being that she also left 2 children at the family home, for my brother to raise. She never even tried to postpone her demise. She just gave up on everything. Refused to go thru any kind of treatment and so on She passed away by herself and the hospital chapelan. I admire you as you are living life to the fullest. You will be in my prayers you lil sweetie..

I do see that it can be a bit scary (well what isn't, but i don't know any better way to put it) to have your heavy work out taken away, I know it gives you some sort of escape. You'll find something, you and Aisha are creative
