I think if we can work on Mamardashvili’s distribution, he can become as good as Alisson. However, I have no idea how much of that can actually be taught. I see this is more of an opportunity to get a guy with ridiculous courtois-like shot-stopping stats who is a ferocious physical specimen that can command a box. If we can get him to adapt to the distribution system and speed of the Prem, he will keep us alive in the biggest games for sure. My only worry is how he will fare when pressed at the back- we need him to not just boot balls forward and be better at looking at our long-range targets so we have every option available. There may be some factors where Mamardashvili may struggle, especially when playing with a team that has significantly more possession, getting the ball to his teammates, and keeping focus after long periods of nothing (Valencia in a way constantly keep him sharp bc they suck so badly). He’s also not a sweeper by nature in his current systems, which means that we may struggle with a high line occasionally if he cannot add it to his game. Granted, the way we play out of possession is different now and he may be a sign of the way we want to defend more in the future. Mamardashvili can command a box excellently, but having him learn from Alisson how to play in our team will transform him into a monster hopefully.

With a congested fixtures...the not-so-new 5 subs rule implemented since last season..and Klopp finally making used of it in the 2nd half of last season due to the players being so tired or injuries...I say keep them all and rotate them Kelleher for PL..let him win the PL between the sticks. Ali for UCL...and some PL games that might suit his strengths MamaD to be super sub to rotate between Ali and Kelleher. Jaros to handle most cup games like Carabao and FA.

I think Goalkeepers are one of the roles that need consistent game time to keep match fresh otherwise the mistakes pop in. If they are stay, then rotation is possible but the coach reveals the plans for the players before the season and I don't think either player will be happy with an unclear bit part role to one competition. Also it destabilizes chemistry with the defence as each player has different preferences.

Is Allison's injury plight , a product of Liverpool's success and playing style , as in - if he was at a lesser club , having more to do , having more influence on a game and being more involved , hence having warmer muscles more of the time , rather than going through long periods of not much / No involvement , meaning muscles going not and cold quite quickly ? Maybe a good pair of thermals may help !

I think Liverpool has really given themselves a headache..Alisson No.1 but injuries keep happening..Kelleher more than good enough to be No.1..And now we have the new keeper coming in who wants the No 1 jersey..Do they sell Alisson. Top teams buy a no 1 goalkeeper in his prime, with a senior keeper around the same age and the third a young aspiring potential. Do you see Ortega having issues with Man City at 32 yrs old? Or Neto at arsenal who is 35? or Andriy Lunin complaining at madrid at 25 yrs of age? Its always John Henry having inability to keep players happy. Do you know how much Kelleher weekly wages is? 10K!!!! after so many years here, no wonder he's making noises and dont even bother we are competing for the title. I think Kelleher will stay for the whole season because that was what everyone agreed to at the start of the season and Jaros hasn't been tested yet, especially if needed week in and week out in a title chasing team. Mamadashvilli just got injured and won't be back in action till the new year. Hope this is not going to be something that happens too frequently as Alisson is already prone to injuries and if Kelleher leaves, we will need a good No.2 GK.

I've always held the belief that Kelleher, whilst being a very good keeper, isn't quite the World class "difference making" keeper that is required to win the PL and CL. Every keeper makes a mistake every now and then, but the World class lads do it rarely, and that's what is needed. Kelleher has saved us more than once, but likewise he's also cost us a few points here and there.

kelleher is not worldclass as his decision making and distribution is not near alisson level. we dont even know if the third keeper can hack it in the EPL. Alisson is constantly injured now and we need two keepers minimum and the third should be the real back up. Whats all this FSG stringent budgeting and constantly needing top players to leave. Liverpool have high standards and should only let players who are old, injury prone and young but failed potential go. The rest we should be able to keep. Then again its the FSG era and their lowering of standards using FFP as some kind of justification. tiring.

Kelleher is leaving not because of FSG, but because he deserves to be a number 1 and has ambitions to be a number 1 and Liverpool have always treated players with respect, especially those that have served us well.

Unfortunately it is fans like you which have been fed lies and false narratives. The 25 man Premier League squad rules only allow clubs to register 17 foreign players and the other 8 spots can only be home grown. Currently, Liverpool have 15 registered foreign players and once you add Marmadashvilli it becomes 16 foreign player meaning, Liverpool FC only have one spot left for a foreign player so all the lies that the club does not spend is just a lie and false narrative created by an insignificant group who have an agenda against our club.

After the season he has had, I think they might. Kepa cost 80 million euros (£72 million) and Kelleher is better than he was then and better than he is now. He is a full international, premier league proven and at 26 years old, can be a number 1 for up to 8-10 years really. FSG would not let him go for anything less than £25 which was the asking price and he has only gone up in value. YNWA
