Working as a cocky watchman at night, I used to see him in all sorts of different areas of the city at all sorts of inappropriate hours of the night when he was a little boy. Can't have been more than about 11 or 12, but even then, he seemed fearless, and was engaging and conversational, was determined to.join the Army as soon as he was old enough. I heard all about stuff he got up to in later years because my best mate lived on their estate, and it was hard to reconcile that with the solitary kid who had once wanted such great things. I'm made up to see now that he has become a fine young man, and he is 50 feet tall compared to the libellous mysanthropes who mean him harm. Everything he said here is spot on, and if his work saves just one young life, his own life will have been worthwhile. Clone this lad.

Darren strikes me as an intelligent, truthful and decent man. I think he was dealt a bad hand in life from birth and badly let down by his parents, social workers, teachers, police etc. He fell into a life of crime, drugs and violence which ended in murder. But he has reflected on his life and he has finally worked it all out, all on his own. Which is amazing and remarkable. However, the Christian community including the media (Liverpool Echo) doesn’t forgive because they are mostly self righteous fakes. Good luck to him. And God bless him. ❤

Only person I’ve listened to that doesn’t glorify his past in crime! You read about and hear so called reformed gangsters telling their story as though they’re some sort of celebrity figures! In the 80, 90 and early 2000 every city and council estate had their known families and their gangs! Now they walk around voicing how much they have changed and expect the people who have had first experience with them to take what they say is true and think “he’s a canny lad now!” I remember the rave scene far to well, not for the great nights everyone talks about and the so called fantastic “e’”, no I remember because of the mental health problems and trauma it has left and the devastating effect it had on people! Well done Darren. Your sincerity speaks volumes and I wish you the best for the future.

Oh 💩. I’m glad you survived and managed to turn your life around. Thank you for your service mate👍🏻. I got into trouble when I was younger but I was lucky during my sentence I got myself to a D cat and did a plumbing course in there and I did plumbing when I got out. Then a few years later I started up my own plumbing business then got married and had 2 kids. I think they should teach all prisoners a trade, it was the best thing to happen to me. Not only did it give me a purpose but I’ve made a good living out of it. I know I don’t know you mate but I’ve had family that have served and I have the upmost respect for ex military. During Remembrance Day I’ll say a thank you to you too. Thank you 👍🏻.

Too many drug dealers have arrangements with the police. I used to think that people said it out of jealously but when i was heavy into drugs a few years ago i got a visit by the drugs Squad and they told me if i stuck to selling heroin but didnt sell any crack they would give me a tip off the night before i got busted for it. I never took it on a s i knew it would mean a bad future and a mressy end for me. I was a small time nobody so if they do this with big time dealers who stick in people who buy kilos from them the police get their figures and the busted guy is in jail with a debt thay stil has to be paid to the scumbag who set them up. The people who grrass get away with all kinds of shit not just drugs but they get looked after by their handler. The police are useless nowadays if you get burgled they dont even atttempt to solve it but if yoi say something bad online they come and get you. In the words of Ice Cube in NWA 'fkk the police"
