Setting mine up with fishing specialty pole. With its magnetic set up I can move the transducer from the bow to the console in seconds. Do some keep their 1022 on the console? For walleyes I fish from my console so for me I’ll mount my 1022 on a ram mount for quick removal. For crappie I think it will work better in the bow when fishing brush piles so I’ll move it forward. I don’t trust my Ulterra as it self deploys and raises may be an issue. I’m new at Livescope so I may find one option better than the other. I’m using a Livescope power box I built to give me this portability option. Your thoughts? Being a beginner I have taken notes from your video. Thanks for the help!

Question on the 1222,I tried calibrating the compass and when I push the start button, Nothing happens and it stays at 0%. I was in calm water and trolling motor stowed and I used the main motor to go in a circle 1.5

Hello. In the panoptix mode, to change the depth and range of the view, the wheel changes in increments of 10 meters. That's a lot. How to adjust the wheel pitch? For example, 1 meter!? Thanks

Thanks for the information! How do you mount the transducer to the ULTERRA and not have resistance with the cables causing the TM to lockup? David

Cornfield Crappie sells “Dog Bone” brackets that hold the Transducer Cable to the non-moving parts at the top and bottom of the Ulterra shaft. I spoke to Cornfield Crappie directly regarding their recommendation and they encouraged using a separate Down Pole. Pros: No chance of damaging the $1,500 LiveScope Transducer Cable when the Ulterra deploys and retracts. I put a bow Sonar Transducer Cable in the Dog Bones and twice the TM pinched the cable! Electric Steer as in the Ulterra is not as good and accurate as cable drive. Cons: The Down Poles are stupid expensive and none are “perfect”. Be well.

I am from Quebec Canada. The species we fish is the speckled trout, the characteristic of this one is that it is held in less than 30 feet. The main technique to catch it is by trolling with a spoon followed by a hook with a worm. Of course it is quite rare with my Humminbird Mega Live G2N Si to distinguish these specimens even with the traditional sounder because as soon as one approaches them the shadow of the boat makes them flee immediately. In these circumstances if I acquire a Garmin GPSMAP 1222 with Panoptix Livescope System Touchscreen Chartplotter an investment of 4310 $ Canadian that can give me a certain advantage in the capture of this trout

To each there own but 12,000+ crappie boated and 3 tournament wins last year says I’m doing something right. I’m simply showing what works best for me in the areas I fish.
