It's typical. The warnings are issued for DAYS ahead of time---but instead of paying any attention and rearranging plans---ill prepared people are on the highways acting as if they are somehow superior to nature.

My car is at the Cincinnati airport over in Hebron, Kentucky. My flight from LaGuardia NYC got cancelled. I was able to get a direct flight to Cleveland and now waiting to fly to Las Vegas! I’m not dealing with that!😂

They should have made it a LEvel 3 in those counties.. but never did. Level 3 takes the pressure off of businesses that pressure their employees to come in. The ONLY ESSENTIAL workers really should be hospital and EMT emergency workers etc... NO fast food, . Maybe gas stations... but the fewer people on the roads, teh faster they can clear the roads the less the tow truck drivers and everyone have to rescue everyone. Even frelling Semi's.. but I kknow CAPITALISM.. damn folks.. you can get your stuff in a few days. I get that trucks transporting food things .. ok.. but I think I read somewhere that someone did a Kroger Delivery.. WHY?

I drive OTR. There are times in severe weather when it is smarter to drive with flashers on. It allows people behind me to see me better, and I can see them better if their flashers are on. I can judge following distance more accurately if I can actually SEE where they are. Taillights can become covered with snow, and flashers help shine through that. Fog is another weather condition where drivers use flashers. It definitely helps there. You would not believe how many people drive around in extreme weather with no lights on!
