Alternative for the coats (etc) IKEA Tisken hooks. Great suction on plastic, but easy to remove. Also come with various clip in baskets and other accessories.

How long do you tend to go away for in your van? Could you do a video on meals you cook & how you decide on where to go please x
@LiveforTravel2 жыл бұрын
That varies. Sometimes for 2 or 3 nights and sometimes for 2 weeks. Yes we are happy to film what we do and how we choose the locations.

This reminded me of when I had more space and the luxury of a microwave, oven, etc. I’ve gone the opposite way to you … but I’ve a feeling you might be missing your little VW. Don’t ask me why, just a feeling I get(!). Thank you for the mention, much appreciated. Lots of fun to watch you both, your enjoyment of doing the video comes across! 😊👍

Hi, we bought the collapsible washing up bowl from your store and it's brilliant! We've just got got back from a 10 day tour and gave it a good trial, with the lack of space and hot water, it sits on the glass hob lid and let's you wash everything up on one bowl of water and it drains straight into the sink. Are you guys going to the motorhome show at the NEC in October?
@LiveforTravel2 жыл бұрын
Great. We find it so easy to wash up having one and as you say it can sit and drain happily. No we’re not going to the show this year. I assume you are?

Agree with you on most of this stuff except the collapsable stuff. Collapz kit... can't stand it, I just have a set of three bowls that fit inside each other and some stretch over silicon lids, the whole set is only the size of the largest bowl, the lids allow them to be used for food storage and the whole lot is a fraction of the cost of an equivalent set of collpaz bowls. Something not on your list is sealable vacuum bags, great for compressing bulky items like pillows duvets etc..
@LiveforTravel2 жыл бұрын
I like the idea of the sealable bags. Not ever tried them so will take a look. Thanks for watching and your comment.

A question about the oven, what's it like? It has no temperature numbers on it, just high medium and low. How do you get on with cooking things based on this?
@LiveforTravel2 жыл бұрын
Our oven has gas mark numbers up to 9.

Trying to gather as much info as i can to help me decide between caravan or motorhome, and came across your channel. As a newbie which way should i go?
@LiveforTravel2 жыл бұрын
No one can answer that question. It is a very individual decision based on what you want out of it. Both options have their positives and negatives. A Motorhome is a self contained vehicle which can be used for touring without the need to tow anything behind you. A caravan can be set up at a site and your car is still available to tour the area rather than trying to navigate a (typically) larger Motorhome down the narrow lanes; the latter can also be problematic with regards to parking. For the majority of negatives there are usually workarounds although there will remain some compromises too. Some tow a car behind their Motorhome (so a sort of reverse caravan) but others would prefer to tow the caravan. Then there is a question about security. The caravan is typically left on site when you tour in the car (as already mentioned) but with the Motorhome everything you have in it has to be parked when you use it to explore from the campsite. In our opinion, there is no KZbin video that will answer that question. We are planning a video that lists many positives and negatives to both options but we will also say in that video it is ultimately your individual requirements that will drive the decision.

Hi Paul an informative video as always.As you started off mentioning mirror protectors,i thought i’d share with this with you (or you might already know).I started to use my aguri sat nav in the holder above the radio as i found it better then the sat nav installed in the radio.Well to my surprise i can use the radio screen like a rear view mirror,underneath the on/off button,volume control it says cam,i found by pressing it, it switches on the camera showing the traffic behind me.Now i mention this to you as now if i go down narrow roads i can pull my wing mirrors in obviously to limit damage to them.This might be useful to you and others that view your videos.You might already be aware of it or your radio might be a different model not letting you use it like this.Particularly useful on the narrow roads we sometimes go down.

Thanks Steve. Apologies for delay on this one but unfortunately when a comment is put under a video and the next sentence is also attached to the full stop KZbin assumes it is a link so places all in a “pending approval” status. Very useful information Steve thank you. I always pull the mirror in on narrow lanes and although one viewer picked up on the fact it is “wrong and illegal” I prefer the “it’s expensive and I drive the van accordingly.” Thanks again for your support.

Very interesting and a lot of food for thought. The Mirror covers are a bit weedy and not worth it! Ours are Proper 'Mirror Guards' and are like Crash Helmet Technology. Even brambles don't scratch them! A little polish and gone! NO cutting compound needed!

Only one question. Do you have an Amazon Storefront? . . . . . 😉
@LiveforTravel2 жыл бұрын
I believe . . . . . Naturally the videos we create, which no one twists our arms to do, cost money and time to produce. We created the Amazon Storefront to help people (who choose to) find items they maybe interested in and, where a purchase is made, a small commission is earned; at no additional cost to the viewer.
