I just cannot fathom how visitors would want to behave this way. I honestly believe people are just that clueless. I suspect that I am in the minority in my admiration for foreign militaries and veterans in general. I couldn't imagine visiting a foreign nation and being disrespectful, and being a complete embarrassment to yourself & your homeland. I don't know why people can't learn the basic national customs and rules as a guest. Would these people want someone visiting their country & disrespecting their turf the same way... Taking a picture at a distance should be enough. Bless these guards. The royal family needs to make strict rules to keep tourists away. If people do not follow rules fine them or arrest them. I don't know why people think they have to touch everything. They're like children. Why can't you just take in the awe of the history of these grand & historical landmarks with your eyes and take a couple of pictures from a distance. You don't need to get up in the faces of the horses and the guards. These Lifeguards are highly-respected positions, hand-selected by the King. It's the equivalent of disrespecting the Soldiers who protect The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. If you have any self-respect and dignity, you will show the same respect to these members of the British Defence Forces as you would to those of your home nation.
