Great video! I LOVE travelling solo, even though it intimidates me at times. I have also traveled enough with others (ex-husband, multiple different friends) and I am a much better traveler alone. Some of the best trips, and friends I've made over the years, is to travel on a loosely-organized trip where people can congregate together, or not. In fact, friends from Australia I made when traveling solo to the French Pyrenees in 2012 to follow the Tour de France? They are invited to come visit me when I emigrate to France from the US next Spring!

Thank you. I think the key is that if you want to go someplace and no one wants to go with you, don't let solo travel intimidate you. I like the idea of loosely organized trips with other, especially since I'm so used to solo travel now. Thanks for watching and sharing.

Hola ! I’ve traveled solo for 10 years around Europe. I’m leaving next week for a trip to Roma. My advice is to travel to an English speaking country first. Perhaps, book a reservation for a guided tour with a group so you’re not alone the whole time. Baby steps first, then your confidence will go up and you’ll be able to strike out on your own eventually. Arrivederci.

Thank you Patricia, great call out to the use of google translate. I have found it is not necessarily asking the question, but understanding the response. Practice the language to ask the question, but also become familiar with possible responses. 😊
