I have never commented on anyone's video before, but I just wanted to let you know that your title "Living Alone Diaries " has grabbed my attention. So, I recently started watching your videos. I really enjoyed them and wish that they had this when I was younger. You really inspire people by sharing true realities and difficulties that you have in your life along with all the wonderful adventures that you are now sharing with everyone. This video that you just talked about "THE MIND MEDIC" would have helped me so much when I was younger. I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful thing you are doing. Never doubt yourself!!! Not even for a second! Continue with healthy eating, a healthy body, and positivity. I am sure that you are helping many people by just being YOU!! OH, JUST SO YOU CAN UNDERSTAND ME BETTER, I AM A 69 YEAR OLD FEMALE.

I've been binge watching your videos non-stop. I stumbled across the one where you had just started creating vlogs & was unsure on whether to make the shift. You are my favorite KZbinr to watch. A lot of people on social media can let the opportunities/ lifestyle go to their head. But you consistently maintain such a humble and appreciative approach to your work. It's so refreshing to see & your content is also so calming and enjoyable to watch. Please don't ever stop making vlogs ☺️💙 .

Thanks for the transparent honesty about things you struggled with and continue to work on. I know that's not an easy thing to do. I used to date a guy who struggled with all of that and more so it's very inspiring to see someone determined to be open to positivity and working on themselves for better or worse. You're right social media makes people forget they only see a little of a person's life and even that little has been edited.

I found your KZbin randomly. I'm from Lagos and your video popped. Since then I've been watching random videos of you while doing my cardio. I'm a natural bodybuilder from Portugal ☺️ I just related so much to sleeping on the couch helping the insomnia. My insomnia striked hard during the last 8 weeks due to stress from work, and well, I was prepping for a show in October, which didn't helped at all, and actually made me quit. Things actually got worse when I started meditating before bed, I don't know if it's your case. I'd go to bed at 10pm and wake up at 11pm, thinking it was already 5am (time where I usually wake up), full of energy, and then I'd realize it was only 11pm. And that would happen 4 or 5 times in the same night. One thing that helped me a lot was to fall asleep on the couch, and when I would wake up during the night, I'd walk directly to bed and fall asleep again.

I’ve been an introvert throughout my first 3 HS years, it’s not that I’m nervous or so to be around others, I’ve been in football, basketball, and track, but just the amount of trouble the people around me would get into made me just focus on mysel, but at the same time it kind of ruined my social skills, finally in my seniors year I decided to be more out going and join clubs, my favorite club was competitive speech (which isn’t hard depending on what you choose you could read a poem or a short story, which you only have to act out with your mouth meaning using different tones and voices or you can argue against someone over a topic), if I had to restart HS I would INSTANTLY get into it again because it helped me connect with people again, so I 100% recommend to all my introverts trying to reconnect with society

1. I have been battling insomnia since age 30, about 6 years now. 2. I sleep with a high powered fan year-round. 3. Sleeping on the couch does help partially because I think I've associated the bed with getting up for work (I hate my job). This video was super relatable for all of these reasons + I have a sleep study next week to rule out sleep apnea. My urologist says insomnia is killing my testosterone. I hope we get a handle on it because it's truly miserable.

Obi, I am 100% with you on the fan thing! The white noise and I love the feel of the moving air too. I suffered from insomnia for several years and it was hellish. One thing I stumbled upon was the rain. I kept a pop-up tent in the house. If I was suffering a bout of insomnia and it was raining, I would throw the pop-up tent up in the garden, drag in 2 or 3 duvets and my pillows and just lay there listening to the rain on the canvas. Usually I was asleep within half an hour at most. Something ridiculously soothing about the sound of rain on canvas. These days it's all but gone, but occasionally I'll still have a bout of insomnia. Tent is now gone, but I have a little tin bucket and a hook on the wall outside my bedroom window. The rain still does the trick. The sound of it hitting that bucket just sends me off.

All the while being an active weightlifter and Martial Artist. Now in my late 50’s I still workout primarily with machine weight’s mostly. I wear a fit bit to bed and track my sleep nightly. My REM and deep sleep still are at the very low end averaging between 5-6 hours of sleep per night. I’m surprised you are in the great physical shape your in while getting sub par sleep. Although I managed that also throughout my younger years. Keep up the good work 👍🏼

Hey Obi. I've tried to deal with insomnia in many ways. The first one was sleeping with a fan, just like you do. I've also tried listening to some white noise on my headphones, though I wouldn't recommend it because you wake up tired from all the noise. The thing that worked for me was reading a book while I'm in bed. I usually read about 10 pages until I fall asleep Hope it helps

You are not alone, many think and foster positive energy towards you, with gratitude for your selfless impact on the lives of so many. Now I haven't read many comments reg this video, forgive if this opinion is one already shared. You open the video, assuming this was not an afternoon nap, waking up on a very nice sectional sofa, I also noticed you working, reading etc from same location as you awoke. It's better to separate the sleeping area from the work, love, play area. Our brains are way smarter than we credit it but narrow minded it can be on occasion and it definitely will give higher importance to areas that have higher value to it. When you work, read, relax in one space, well that feels great to the grey matter, so it will play favorite's with it's response when in that area, we generally don't feel, think or give same value to our sleep, it's just down time that consciously we do not give same energy to work, play, relax.... So if one is trying to balance life from just one location, sectional sofa, it reasonable that when in that area the grey pleasure seeking matter is going to lean towards that which makes it feel good and be damn with your attempt to switch it off, think about grey matter as a toddler your trying to get to sleep, all the toddler thinking about is all the great stuff it's going miss out ..hope this is clear and of help. ...
