Age is not the enemy- a negative mindset is. That’s why women our grandmother’s age do what they heck they feel like and are much happier for it. You didn’t ask for input. Or at least I didn’t see any poll lol. So I kindly offer my invaluable 2 cents, as a Black single woman in my early 20s/30s I embraced every opportunity to travel and reside in different regions/cities of the country. The west coast, Denver in particular, provides an unrivaled launchpad or connector of sorts to so many must see places: Grand Canyon, Arizona, Northern Cali, Nevada, Albuquerque sights/sites … they’re a short drive or flight away from what your home base would be in Denver. After all you can always move back to NYC later. How are you going to know what you truly want out of life and find/realize your purpose without healthy exploration and not just visiting but through immersion. I’m so glad I did. And that’s how I ultimately was able to decide upon my “forever” home base in Charlotte NC. I emphasize home base bc I continue to enjoy exploration and now get to introduce my love for immersive travel and culture with my son … it’s the coolest progression. So go ahead and give Denver a real try and if it doesn’t fit then move on. You make the rules. As long as your motive is not to “run away from your problems” (bc you can’t outrun them) explore away.

Just a safety tip for us all, besides checking for the license plate please have your driver say your name instead of you asking them.
