This is prime footage and evidence to just how good an actor Timothy Dalton is. One second he's got that death stare that makes you feel like you're living in your last few seconds and then BAM!

Timothy was a really great bond I wish he had done more than 2 films

I would’ve loved him in Goldeneye, it would’ve been a great trilogy end at least. Sure they had Property of a lady set but if Goldeneye was to be next I would’ve wanted him in it. Not to take away from Brosnan either as I love him in TND, TWINE, and Even DAD.

@@christopherfoote4643 Brosnan didn't take it. Dalton denied doing more than just 1 more movie after the legal battles ended in 1994. So then he resigned from the role, then they rewrote the movie to what is now goldeneye
@toshoshi1551 Жыл бұрын
@@oyvi00i 100% correct. Goldeneye is a very loose rewrite of The Property of a Lady movie script, making it the first film to not be directly related to a Fleming story/novel.

His contract ended during the legal battle years as it was for so many movies or until this many years went by whichever happened first. They offered him Goldeneye, and he was willing to do one more, but they said no you will have to do at least three more, and he didn't want to get into another long contract.

@tdltn08 Do you mean this incident Zelah Clarke once recalled in an interview? "Tim wasn't the type to lose his temper, but he got close to it during our marriage scene. The poor actor who rushed in to protest kept fluffing his line. After the seventh take, Tim became cross and started squeezing my hand harder and harder. Eventually, the actor got it right - and Tim fluffed his line. I just fell on the floor laughing." I would LOVE to see that! Come on BBC, where are you hiding these things?!

James Bond doesn't DO any bloopers - that's why he's lived for 58 years as a spy, getting plastic surgery approximately every decade.

What a shame Timothy Dalton did not do Goldeneye! I really miss him! The James Bond film series and feature films have not been the same without him! After Dalton starring in at least 5 Bond films, then the role could and should have been passed to Clive Owen, not Pierce Brosnan or Daniel Craig!

I think whoever they get to be the next Bond, each movie he should have to square off with a former Bond actor playing the villain.

Moore very smoky in TSWLM during the showdown with Stromberg (bullet through the tube), Moore dropping the ‘F’ bomb in AVTAK after Stacey was fired and this scene are about the only bloopers footage known to exist in the Bond franchise. In the former, Bond was supposed to stand behind the chair and it had been fitted with strong steel. Moore suggested he should sit in the chair as it looked more dramatic. The director relucantly agreed but Moore certainly realised why they wanted him behind the chair! Certainly a lot of cream and regular changes of dressing for a few weeks afterwards!!!

I think Dalton got a unearned reputation in the 80s as being a stiff, almost too serious Shakespeare actor that may have turned people off his interpretation of Bond. Between this and the lighter work he’s done as an older veteran actor, it’s begun to greatly alter that perception.
