I have a similar set-up as Wendy. Ot was very smart of her to go with the larger inverter, battery bank and solar array. Of course, it's always nice to have more room, but the truck camper's versatility can't be beat. Smart woman.

i have to say, the Host truck camper is not your typical truck camper. The Host is spectacular! it is a studio apt. on wheels. other truck campers are great, without ALL that room and privacy, and cost. cool video, i am envious for her and her camper.

Nice interview with Wendy. But the truck camper she has does require a dually. You have a dry weight of over 4000 lbs. As far as a cargo capacity stand point. I doubt very much if you could even find a single rear wheel vehicle. With something even close to that kind of payload capacity. Other than that. Nice truck. And beautiful camper.

Nice interview with Wendy. Like Wendy, we are on our second rig and I am contemplating changing to a Host truck camper. When I started to look I was drawn to the truck camper but I felt they were too tight for our desires. Recently I discovered the Host Mammoth and think this may bring me back to my initial camper desire. I like the idea of not having to tow, but to have the camper and as Wendy stated, it isn’t that much work to unload & load, leaving one to be able to use the truck as wanted. 👏

Yep, explored so many options, & honestly, this is my best choice. But probably a slide out, dry-bath camper that has better rated insulation. So happy to find women doing what I want to do! As far as safety, well, I’ll just have to have what I need to seriously protect myself.

Loving your videos. Your cooking videos, scenery, and travel. You are So calm and also informative and entertaining. Wishing you were able to get to the state of Maine for some amazing coastal, mountain and lake scenery. Summer and fall are the very best.

Very concise - thank you! One thing I wish was addressed was whether there was a way to get through from the inside of the camper to the truck without having to exit. This is a major safety concern I have with truck campers, the ability to just jump in the driver's seat and pull away if need be, without getting out of the camper. Did your guest interviewee happen to mention her take on this? Thanks Joni!

This hasn't been an issue for her.

I considered a truck camper, but went van, cause the biggest con for me was the inability to go from the cab to the back without getting out of the vehicle.

Hi, How sturdy is your truck camper while sitting close to the ground?
@jamesderr13448 ай бұрын
Hopefully Wendy named her camper Jack, since its nimble and quick.

Thank you I’m been considering a truck: camper set up … Would love to how she gets the camper back on the truck .. the process My biggest concern is not being able to crawl upfront if I feel the need to leave in a flash
@davidbreen43536 ай бұрын
that can be fixed if you expand a window in the camper, and back window in the truck, it's best if you are slim and able to crawl through.

Sadly, no. But there is a tour video on the Story Chasing channel.

I thought this was a pro and con video. What it is,is a description of your camper and truck.
@TheGalavan Жыл бұрын
For her, it was almost all pros. She only had the one con, and it wasn't even a big deal for her.
